DC Studios is poised to have a big year in 2026. In addition to two new films (Supergirl and Clayface), there’s also the upcoming TV series Lanterns, which marks the first time since the ill-fated 2011 movie that the Green Lantern IP has been the main focus of a new live-action project. Unsurprisingly, there’s a great deal of excitement for Lanterns, but it’s had a somewhat strange marketing campaign thus far. In March, the first teaser trailer debuted and proved to be divisive, then, just last week, that same trailer was pulled from nearly everywhere. A new version has now made its way online, and it even confirms some new details.
The Lanterns trailer is back up on the official YouTube channels. The footage remains the same, but the music has been tweaked. Additionally, the preview reveals the official Lanterns release date. The show arrives on HBO Max on August 16th. Check out the trailer in the space below:
