Getting a PlayStation Platinum trophy can feel like a great achievement, and many of us love seeing the number of Platinums that we have increase. As a self-proclaimed trophy hunter, Platinum trophies are a fantastic way for me to get a quick happiness boost. Oftentimes, achieving that platinum can take a lot of effort, but there are games where we can get them fairly easily, and maybe without even paying any money for the game.
Most of us know that the PlayStation Plus program offers a vast assortment of games that can provide some fun and easy Platinum trophies, but even if you don’t have PS Plus, there are quite a few free games out there. Not all of them are as engaging as playing one of the more well-known games, so if you are looking for fun as well as trophies, we need to get a bit selective. Here are some easy, free games with Platinum trophies that can also offer a fun experience along the way.
Halloween Puzzle
A Card Matching Memory Game With A Platinum That Takes Around 30 Minutes

Not only is Halloween Puzzle a free little holiday game, perfect for the spooky season, but this 3.5-star game can provide you with a Platinum trophy in just around 30 minutes. Themed with a Halloween vibe, the game itself is simply the classic card matching game, where you flip over cards and try to remember what’s under each so you can match like cards together.
There are four difficulty levels to choose from, and you must complete each mode to get the Platinum. Other trophies involve finding different icons under the cards, which will happen naturally as you play. As a bonus, these types of memory games are great for strengthening your brain, so you can feel good about playing.
Metaball
Takes Longer, Closer To 20 Hours To Platinum, But A Fun And Free Multiplayer Experience

Metaball is definitely the largest time investment on this list, but is also a great change of pace. This free-to-play crossplay-enabled multiplayer game is a fast-paced sports experience for you and your friends.
Riding on a hoverboard and using a chain to swing a massive ball around, you are playing a game similar to futuristic basketball where you are trying to dunk, shoot, block, and steal the ball. Your hoverboard can also be boosted using nitro to give you the chance to do double or even triple jumps.
As long as you’re willing to put in the grind, this Platinum is fairly easy to accomplish. Trophies include things like playing 100 Quick Match games, performing 100 double jumps, and scoring with a Golden Ball. If you can get a group of friends to play together, and everyone agrees, rigging the matches to allow you to do what you need for the trophy requirements isn’t too bad.
Bunny Raiders
Multiplayer Game With Platinum In Around 2 Hours

Another free multiplayer experience, Bunny Raiders is a roguelike action game that has strikingly mixed reviews. While it has an average 3-star rating, it looks close to an even split between people giving it and others giving it . This tells me that you are probably going to either love this game or hate it.
In Bunny Raiders, you play as bunnies who have sworn themselves as the guardians of all animals, protecting all from the killer robots that the human race has let loose. Using gadgets, you battle your way through randomly generated rooms to destroy the evil robots.
Obtaining this Platinum trophy can take around two hours, with the Platinum coming from obtaining all other trophies. These include straightforward goals like using 10 different gadgets, defeating 100 enemies, and looting 5,000 coins.
Puzzle Drop Carnival
Fastest Platinum On This List, Under 15 Minutes

At first, I was a bit confused as all I could find in the PlayStation Store was a DLC add-on or a Puzzle Drop Carnival Theme Store for this game. However, apparently, despite the «theme store» part of the name, that is the game, and it is free to play. Confusing name aside, the puzzle mechanic is a unique approach to jigsaw puzzles by combining it with a Tetris-style approach of having pieces come down.
Earning a Platinum in this game is said to take less than 15 minutes, with easy trophies that consist of beating the bots in a medium level, earning three stars in single player mode, and more.
The Sims 4
ing Guides, You Can Platinum In Less Than 5 Hours
Yes, really. The Sims 4 may be a behemoth of a game, but according to people like Reddit user -atelidae-, this free-to-play title can be Platinumed in around five hours if you guides or focus in on what you need to do. Several YouTube videos showcase how to get this Platinum quickly, such as Covert Stubbz‘s step-by-step guide video.
To be honest, I didn’t believe this either until I watched some of these videos. Although I normally play The Sims 4 on PC, I may have to download it on PS5 to try out this Sims 4 challenge for myself.
The base game of The Sims 4 is free-to-play, although if you want any of the extra expansion packs, game packs, and kits, those do cost money and are purchased separately.
Astro's Playroom
Extremely Fun Platinum In 3 To 4 Hours

Perhaps the best tech demo ever created, Astro’s Playroom initially came as a free demo game to show off the DualSense controller’s capabilities on the PS5. This little robot stole our hearts and went on to star in the award-winning game, Astro Bot. However, Astro’s Playroom is still a fun game in its own right, and is free for everyone.
Getting all the trophies, including the hidden trophies, in Astro’s Playroom can be a lot of fun for anyone who enjoys platformer games, and takes around four hours typically.
Most of the trophies are things that you will do anyway while playing, such as clearing each section and collecting puzzle pieces. Others require you to do tasks like making a huge snowball, performing a spin while shooting a machine gun, and more, but none are especially complicated.
Puzzle Galaxy
Roughly 60 Minutes To Platinum This Jigsaw Puzzle Game

If doing a cozy little jigsaw puzzle while sipping on some tea sounds relaxing to you, then Puzzle Galaxy could be your favorite Platinum on this list. The base game is free, and is all you need for a Platinum, but then there are several add-on DLC packs that can be purchased if you find yourself enjoying it and wanting more.
This Platinum can be earned in around an hour and consists of objectives like «Complete any Forest picture» and «Complete any puzzle with 150 pieces.» There are two trophies that require multiplayer mode with two people playing with local multiplayer, but even if you can’t find someone to play with, you could probably fake it with two controllers.
Puzzle Journey
Around 30 Minutes Of This Easy Match Game For A Platinum

If you’re thinking there are a lot of puzzle games on this list, there are. However, these little games make sense as they offer a fun and cozy experience that is straightforward and easy to get the Platinums on.
Like Halloween Puzzle, but without the Halloween theme, Puzzle Journey is another memory-boosting card matching game. The game consists of turning over cards to remember what’s under them and matching pairs. There are four difficulty levels, all of which you must complete to get the coveted Platinum trophy.

Coloring Book
Zen Coloring Activity For 30 Min Platinum, Just Watch Out For Microtransactions

Aptly named, Coloring Book is a digital coloring book experience where you can virtually color in line-drawn images. I downloaded and tried out the game myself when writing about it previously, and found that it is incredibly easy and fun to use, but they certainly like to push microtransactions.
The base game, which is free, consists of one image for each theme, and then there are options to purchase DLC packs to get the rest of the images for each theme. Thankfully, you can earn the Platinum without purchasing any of these extra packs, and if you are enjoying them and want to buy some, they are pretty inexpensive.
Each of the trophies consists of simply coloring in the drawings, and a few little extra challenges, such as only coloring a page in orange hues or using ten different colors on one page.
The Light In The Darkness
Has An Emotional Story Plus An Easy Platinum

The Light in the Darkness is a free narrative-driven game that offers a gripping story, even if you’re only there for the trophy. It is worth noting, however, that this is an emotional story about the Holocaust, and is designed to take an educational approach, which makes it a difficult topic to handle for many.
Playing during the dark times of the Nazi occupation of France in WWII, you play as a Polish Jewish family attempting to survive their hostile world they find themselves in.
If you are okay with it not exactly being lighthearted, this Platinum trophy is achievable in about an hour, depending on how long it takes you to read through the copious amounts of dialogue. Each trophy in The Light in the Darkness consists of things that you will naturally achieve as you play the game, making it easy to get lost in the narrative on this PlayStation game.
