Humans running for their lives from prehistoric creatures on their turf is the most entertaining facet of the Jurassic Park franchise. One of the reasons fans fell in love with the Jurassic movies was the suspense and action typically involving people going up against dinosaurs, rather than one another, for once. While it has been fascinating to see the film’s characters trying to outgun or outsmart nature’s most formidable predators, it has also been quite awe-inspiring to witness these ferocious creatures go against each other.

A new addition in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the Carnotaurus quickly proved itself to be a fierce competitor in deadly combat scenarios. However, it was still no match for the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who stormed in and, in a flash, proved its dominance. Although the Carnotaurus briefly struggled, it ultimately couldn’t do anything. By taking down the Carnotaurus in this way, the T. Rex saved Owen Grady from being killed by it.
Though this fight isn’t the most spectacular, which is why it ranks at the bottom, it is still memorable. The shot of the T. Rex holding the Carnotaurus down by the neck while the volcano erupts remains ingrained in the minds of many viewers. When the T. Rex briefly locks its gaze on Owen, he is understandably frozen. Altogether, the T. Rex once again proved that it is the apex predator.

Rex bursts through the tree line, snapping at one of the Gallimimus, it is an incredible moment. There isn’t much of a fight, but this dinosaur action sequence is one of the most iconic.
Though the T. Rex has many impressive fights throughout the Jurassic Park franchise, the original film best manages to capture how frightening this makes the dinosaur. The Gallimimus stampeding in response to the T. Rex encapsulates how it stood at the top of the food chain. Moreover, the T. Rex’s quick emergence from the trees further contributes to the terror of the situation.

Battle at Big Rock is a short film about a family caught in the crossfire of a dinosaur battle while camping at Big Rock National Park. During the night, the family witnesses a Nasutoderatops and her baby arrive at the camping spot and are looking around when an Allosaurus ambushes them. The two dinosaurs get into a nasty fight as the dinosaur battles to protect her little baby, who nearly becomes the Allosaurus’ dinner.
The fight gets brutal as the Nasutoceratops tries to keep the Allosaurus at bay with its strong head, but is badly injured in the end. Fortunately, her mate arrives just in time to protect his family. After the hard-fought battle that it had just fought, this gave the Allosaurus pause. Ultimately sensing that it was outnumbered, the Allosaurus retreats and attacks the family instead.
12 Majungasaurus vs. Suchomimus Is an Intense Battle Between Titans
The Fluid Animation in Chaos Theory Lends Itself to This Fight's Quick Movement
One of the spin-off shows based on the Jurassic Park franchise is Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. There are many things that Chaos Theory does just as well, if not better, than the movies it spawned from. One of the most notable aspects of Chaos Theory is the animated fight scenes. There are almost no times this is clearer than in the fight between the Majungasaurus and Suchomimus.
The movements of the dinosaurs are very fluid as they exchange blows, bringing the danger of the creatures to the forefront. Moreover, this fight was interesting as it was divorced from the T. Rex and raptors that are often present in battles in recent films. Although the fight was relatively short-lived, it was one of the more impactful ones, not only in the show but also in the franchise as a whole.
11 Big Eatie vs. Pierce Is a Fight with Emotional Weight

While the carnivorous dinosaurs in the live-action Jurassic Park franchise are often the most terrifying, with Blue being one of the only exceptions, the animated shows are different. Camp Cretaceous, for example, has a recurring T. Rex in the form of Big Eatie and her child, Little Eatie. Though she is still a dinosaur to be feared, she also shows a caring nature toward her child.
These traits are why it is so devastating when Big Eatie must fight against Pierce, a Kentrosaurus who also receives a fair amount of screen time. The battle is intense, with some of Pierce’s spikes making their way into Big Eatie’s existing injuries and Big Eatie doing a lot of damage in return. The fact that these dinosaurs have a fair amount of characterization adds emotional weight to the fight, a quality often lacking in dinosaur vs. dinosaur battles.
10 Indominus Rex vs. the Raptors Does Not End Well For the Former

The Jurassic World movies rejuvenated the franchise and were successful in channeling the nostalgia by incorporating iconic action scenes from the original JP movies. It’s safe to say that the climax of Jurassic World is a shout-out to the first Jurassic Park film, as it also concluded with a T. Rex/raptor fight. However, instead of the T. Rex, the velociraptors go against the uncontrollable and bloodthirsty Indominus Rex.
When Owen finds himself cornered by four raptors, he uses his training to invoke Blue’s sense of loyalty towards him. Blue and the other raptors then try to protect Owen by ambushing the Rex. At first, it seemed that the raptors might have the upper hand, but that quickly changed when the Indominus threw one of them in the fire and sent the other two flying. Even with Owen’s assistance, the first round went to the man-made killing machine. The fact that this acted as a predecessor to a more interesting fight keeps this battle at #10, though.

The Indoraptor was perhaps the most fearsome and creepiest creation in the Jurassic Park and World movies. Therefore, when the dinosaur cleverly escaped from its cage, it wreaked havoc, killing everything in its path. During the climax, the Indoraptor corners Maisie and Owen in her room, but Blue comes just in the nick of time to help them escape. She battles the Indoraptor ferociously, keeping it pinned to the room so that it doesn’t go after Owen.
However, the raptor manages to pursue the humans over the glass rooftop. Even when Claire manages to trick it into falling down the glass roof, the Indoraptor manages to survive, but not for long. As the deadly creature moved towards Owen, Blue sneaked up on it and threw both of them down, impaling the former on the skeleton horns of another dinosaur. It marked another victory in Blue’s ledger.

The T. Rex and the Allosaurus are two of the most fearsome dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park franchise, so any fight between the two is sure to be exciting. Throw in an Atrociraptor pack, and this fight is one of the most exciting of all. What makes this particularly exciting is that it is a three-way battle, resulting in numerous exciting interactions. The location, being a shipyard, also makes the environment interesting, as the raptors can bounce around and gain height on the bigger dinosaurs.
While other multi-dinosaur fight sequences occur in the Jurassic Park franchise, this one stands out due to its creativity. Fitting for a show called Chaos Theory, the battle is pure, chaotic fun. As soon as one party gains the upper hand, one of the other two manages to make them lose their advantage. Of course, the T. Rex had to prove that it stood at the top once again.

People generally think that the T. Rex is the largest carnivore of the prehistoric era. However, the Jurassic Park franchise was kind enough to give fans a glimpse into the past by featuring a small brawl between nature’s two most enormous flesh-eating dinosaurs. Jurassic World Dominion Prologue featured a brief scene showing the Cretaceous era and the possible origin of the mosquito with dinosaur DNA.
It starts with a silent conversation between the T. Rex and the Giganotosaurus as they assess their opponent before getting into a nasty fight. Unfortunately, it’s a quick defeat for the Rex as the Giganotosaurus takes its neck in a single blow and throws the Rex off the edge. As a dying T. Rex lay, a mosquito comes in, sucks its blood, and flies away.

Undoubtedly, the Indominus Rex is one of the deadliest dinosaurs in the entire franchise. Unlike the T. Rex, who often, though not always, hunted with a purpose, the Indominus enjoyed hunting and killing anything that came into its path to prove who was strongest. One of the dinosaur’s first deadly encounters was catching an Ankylosaurus herd. When Zack and Gary were out exploring in the gyrosphere, they came across a pack of Ankylosaurus peacefully eating grass when the Indominus appeared.
While the herd escaped, a single Ankylosaurus tried to face off against the dangerous beast. Although it wasn’t much of a confrontation, the herbivore held its ground by protecting itself with its mighty tail. However, the innocent dinosaur stood no chance and ended up between the Indominus’s teeth. This battle thus served to establish a baseline for how dominant the Indominus was.
