20 Night Of The Mini Dead

The better of the two tilt-shift style episodes in Love, Death & Robots, «Night of the Mini Dead», depicts a zombie apocalypse from a bird’s eye view, making zombies look like toys, and blood splatters look like paint splotches. It’s not to be taken seriously, but the squeaking screams are funny and rapid pace will keep your attention.
19 Beyond The Aquila Rift

«Beyond the Aquila Rift» is one of the scariest episodes of Love, Death & Robots, and the reveal towards the latter half of the episode will make your stomach turn in the worst possible way. The hyperrealistic VFX of the episode is not always the most believable, but the uncanny nature makes one moment particularly effective.

«The Drowned Giant» is an example of why having a show like Love, Death & Robots is critical to making space for stories that would otherwise not be told. After a dead giant washes up on the shore of a human-sized town, the villagers are at first interested, but soon become bored, a telling insight about our attention span.

The art style in «Ice» appears multiple times in Love, Death & Robots, and it never fails to impress. In this episode, set on a faraway Earth colony, a group of young men test their manhood by racing across ice, avoiding breaching ice whales. It’s cute, beautiful, and paints some interesting characters in only a few minutes.
16 Mason's Rats
Season 3, Episode 7
«Mason’s Rats» stars the titular Mason, a Scottish farmer fed up with the anthropomorphic rats in his barns stealing his vegetables. Their squabble becomes an arms race when Mason orders a literal killing machine to massacre the pests. It’ll raise your spirits when you see Mason decide he’d rather a worthy foe than a victory that comes with such bloodshed.
15 The Secret War
Season 1, Episode 18
«The Secret War» falls into the category of Love, Death & Robots episodes that don’t care too much about story, and just want to drop you into an exciting moment with heroes and monsters duking it out. We never learn why there are wolf-like monsters fighting Red Army soldiers, but you’ll be cheering every demon corpse soon enough.

«400 Boys» begins like an obnoxious, dystopian Warriors mash-up, but it ends up winning you over with its commitment to the bit and excellent voice work. In a strange future, street gangs vie for territory in some twisted version of Earth. However, when a gang of giant babies shows up, they’ll need to join their cockney accents and fight back.
13 When The Yogurt Took Over
Season 1, Episode 6
«When the Yogurt Took Over» is the exact type of story that only works well in a format like that of Love, Death & Robots. When a group of scientists mutate a bowl of yogurt, it becomes sentient, benevolent, and all-knowing, quickly taking over the Earth and righting all our problems. Then it leaves.
12 The Tall Grass
Season 2, Episode 5
«The Tall Grass» is a delightfully atmospheric horror short that s a man named Laird who is traveling by train at night when the locomotive stops in the middle of a cornfield. Not heeding the conductor’s warnings, Laird decides to investigate a noise he heard in the tall grass, something that threatens to end his trip.
11 Kill Team Kill
Season 3, Episode 5
«Kill Team Kill» is another «shoot first, ask questions about the plot later» episode, but it is just so fun, you have to give in to it. An elite team of soldiers stumbles across a cyborg bear who manages to kill just about all of them in ways that Happy Tree Friends would be jealous of.
