How to complete Opia Apito's Templar Hunt in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The Opia Apito Templar Hunt in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is one of four Templar Hunt side quests you’ll need to complete if you’re looking to unlock the Great Inagua manor house gate and get your hands on the elusive Templar Armor. And this armor is well worth working for as soon as you can!
To help with that, here’s our Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Opia Apito Templar Hunt walkthrough.

AC Black Flag Resynced Opia Apito Templar Hunt walkthrough
Opia Apito, the fourth and final one of the four Templar Hunt targets, is located in the region of Castillo de Jagua on the island of Cayman Sound.
Take caution as you come here, as the island that you’ll be visiting is surrounded by hostile boats; you can sink them or alternatively, hop off your boat around 200-300 meters away from the island then swim the rest of the way.

1. The Taino Assassin
Greet Opia, who’s less than happy to see you, then follow her over to the nearby camp. In the camp, you need to look for clues.

Interact with the tree directly in front of you and the puddle of blood on the floor, then speak with Opia again.
You’ll follow Opia again now, until you come to some deceased guards. Here, the path splits, and you’ll be tasked with following the White Jaguar tracks along the path on the right-hand side.
As you go along the path, you’ll run into the White Jaguar itself, and you’ll now need to do what the hunters could not; kill the beast.

While the White Jaguar is tougher and more agile than some of the soldiers you’ll have faced so far, they’re not too troublesome to take down using some heavy attacks and careful dodging.
You’ll receive a Digested Map Piece for your efforts, and Opia will now move to the far east of the Castillo de Jagua, where the Grand Cayman island is. Speak to her on the docks there (pictured below).

2. Templar Ships
Upon meeting Opia for a second time, you’ll be prompted to follow her again and she’ll task you with learning more about the Templar presence on the island.
Follow your quest marker over to your right and blend in on the bench, which will allow you to eavesdrop on two locals.

Here, you’ll learn about the King of Fishermen, and will then need to locate the mysterious figure. Follow your quest marker over to the west next, towards the area’s Viewpoint (which you should grab if you haven’t already).
Once in the ‘Explore’ area, use Eagle Vision to look for green objective markers like the one shown in the image below; this is the King of Fishermen. When you have sight of him, carefully follow him.

As you follow, you’ll learn that he has a Bill of Sale and will be prompted to pickpocket it from him. Carefully continue to follow him and pickpocket him while his back is turned to you.

If he catches you in the act, be prepared for a brief fight with the proud sailor.
Once the Bill of Sale is in your possession, this portion of the side quest is complete. Open your map to see that Opia has moved east of the Grand Cayman, near the Viewpoint, and go and meet her there to inform her of what you’ve found.

3. Right Hand Man
When you begin to speak to Opia again, you’ll also start following her briefly. She’ll tell you about the Templar’s right-hand man, Vargas, and lead you to his house so that you can assassinate him.
Once you arrive at Vargas’ home, hide in the hay bale opposite his front door. When Opia tries to talk to him, he’ll flee his house; chase him.

As you chase Vargas down however, he’ll rather conveniently board a boat. This leaves you with no option but to board your own boat and follow him across the seas, so go and do just that.
Once at sea, your next goal is to attack Vargas’ ship using your cannons and then board him. Be careful to not go overboard (pun unintended) firing at him, as you don’t want to sink his ship.

After boarding Vargas’ ship, you’ll be tasked with incapacitating him. Don’t bother clearing out his men first, as you can skip that part if you focus on Vargas and take him down.
In my experience, I boarded Vargas’ ship, cleared out all of his men, and then had Opia demanding I board his ship… despite me already being on it. A quest marker then appeared a few hundred meters away near the Grand Cayman, but because I was already boarding what was supposed to be Vargas’ ship, I then couldn’t steer my own ship over to this new quest marker. I then took it upon myself to just swim over to the quest marker, but nothing was there and I ultimately had to reload. I’m explaining this whole rigamarole so that if it happens to you, you know to reload right away and not bother wasting your time killing his men or swimming unnecessarily like I did.
After Vargas has been taken care of, that’s this part of the mission complete. To continue, you’ll now need to meet Opia on Pinos Isle in the region of Castillo de Jagua, which is north of the Grand Cayman and pictured below.

Once again, the dock for this island is heavily guarded by enemy ships, so I recommend being prepared to clear them out or – as previously mentioned – jump off your ship early and swim over to the area to avoid naval combat entirely.
4. The Trail of Lucia Marquez
Upon meeting Opia on the beach of Pinos Isle, sit with her to rest until night time and begin the final portion of this quest.
Under the cover of darkness now, follow Opia. Stay hidden as best you can as there’s a lot of soldiers along the upcoming route, though Opia will prompt you to assassinate some of them alongside her.
Once you reach the ruins, you’ll need to eliminate all of Lucia’s men – with Opia’s help – before continuing. This isn’t anything we aren’t used to doing by now, so go wild! Afterwards, more men will approach for you to clear out, and your goal will be to defend Opia.

After the men have been dealt with, it’s time to track down Lucia, who is hiding from you and Opia. Use your Eagle Vision to look for any green objective markers; there’ll be one to the east of the ruins, and this is Lucia. Approach her and she’ll run off; chase after her briefly and the fight – which includes two guards – will begin.
Once Lucia has been downed, interact with her body to confirm the kill. A cutscene will ensue, and you’ll get your hands on the fifth and final Templar Key.

Speak to Opia once more afterwards to conclude the side quest, and all of the Templar Hunts.
Now, it’s just a matter of returning to the Manor in the Great Inagua (in the region of Gibara) to wrap up the Damn Fine gear side quest, which requires inputting all of the Templar Keys into the locked gate there.
Inside, you’ll be able to bag yourself the Templar Armor finally. Well done with completing all of the Templar Hunts in Black Flag Resynced!
