How to complete Rhona Dinsmore's Templar Hunt in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.
The Rhona Dinsmore Templar Hunt in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is one of many side quests you’ll be looking to complete. If you complete this quest alongside three more Templar Hunts, you can bag yourself a great reward; the Templar Armor. AC Black Flag Resynced Rhona Dinsmore Templar Hunt walkthrough
Rhona Dinsmore, the first of the four Templar Hunt targets, is located in the region of Dry Tortuga on the island of Havana. You’ll find her in an open area slightly northeast of the southmost viewpoint on the island, and as you approach, there’ll be gunfire.
1. Bureau Under Attack
After speaking to Rhona, you’ll be assigned your first task for her: Bureau Under Attack. During this step of Rhona’s mission, you’ll need to help defend her from the soldiers firing at her.
The men are easily felled, but you’ll then need to quickly plant power kegs near the entrances to the bureau to prepare for the incoming attack. To do this, go over to the small red barrels around the area and carry them over to the three exits, then drop them there. As the guards then approach, shoot the kegs.
If you don’t manage to do this in time, don’t fret. The mission will continue, and you’ll need to take down the incoming soldiers with your trusty sword and assassination skills.
You’ll need to repeat the process of placing powder kegs and fending off soldiers twice more after this.
2. A Thief in the Market
Once you’ve finished defending Rhona, the Bureau Under Attack side mission concludes and she’ll move to the northwest of Havana island. Go and speak to her there, where she stands on the roof of a small stone pergola.
Rhona will now task you with investigating the nearby Market. Head over there (to the east) and use your Eagle Vision to scan the surroundings, looking out for any green objective markers.
There are two of these in the Market that lead to two Merchants you can speak with about their issues with thievery and pickpocketing.
You’ll then be prompted to wait for the Pickpocket. Wait with the Merchant and soon, your camera will pan over to the Pickpocket, who is fleeing the scene of his crime. Chase after him until you reach a dead end, where you’ll then need to fight and kill him.
Once he’s been felled, loot the ‘A Pickpocketed Map’ from his body. This then marks the A Thief in the Market side mission complete, and Rhona will have returned to her original location where you helped defend her from the soldiers. Go back there and speak with Rhona a third time about your findings.
3. Arms Race
Up next, Rhona tasks you with helping her destroy Hilary Flint’s gunpowder reserves across the area. She’ll take one half, while you’re assigned another half, meaning you have three warehouses to destroy in total.
As you can see on the map below, all three storehouses are spread throughout Havana, and we’re going to start with the closest one then slowly make our way north.
The first of the powder reserves is between some buildings and guarded by a few soldiers. I recommend assassinating the largest of the soldiers from above, and preparing to kill a few more guards that surround the area. Once they’ve been taken care of, ignite the red barrel that has your quest marker attached to it (shown below), then make your escape from the area.
Next, head to the second powder reserve in the middle of your map, northwest of the one you’ve just destroyed. In this area, soldiers will be manning the rooftops and they’ll have guns that can pack a real punch if you’re not careful.
Just like the last reserve, clear out the guards if need be and ignite the powder reserve – the red barrel – beneath the pergola pictured below.
Next, make your escape and head for the third and final powder reserve remaining on your map.
This area is the most perilous of them all, with the powder reserve in an alcove guarded by two soldiers, and ultimately surrounded by many more. I dealt with them by hiding in one of the bushes near the powder reserve and luring each guard over with a whistle, then assassinating them in the bush.
Once all the guards had been cleared, I was then free to ignite the third and final powder reserve without any rude interruptions.
With that done, the Arm’s Race side mission is complete. Now, track Rhona Dinsmore on your map again and speak with her once more.
4. Flint’s End
With Flint’s defenses damaged, it’s now time for you and Rhona to track him down and assassinate him, which will net you your second Templar Key.
Follow Rhona to Flint’s location and once she engages his men in combat, do what you do best; stealth past Rhona and the men to the docks up ahead, and assassinate Flint. Alternatively, you can duel him; he’s fortunately not half as difficult to take down as James du Casse or some of the soldiers you’ve faced so far.
Once Flint is dead, deal with any of his men if they approach you, then interact with Flint’s body to confirm the kill. You’ll be given the Templar Key from Rhona once you do.
Before you’re done with this particular set of side missions however, you’ll need to go and meet Rhona at the bureau to wrap things up.
When you’re ready, it’s time to hunt down the next Templar Key, which we’ll be seeking out two brothers known as Upton and Vance Travers for.
