The “Ask AI” trend is currently going viral on the internet, but some fans managed to turn this controversial trend into an intriguing one. In X handle @SceneinCinema‘s recent tweet on the platform, the user asked Grok to rank the best Spider-Man. And the result wasn’t all appealing to the Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland fans.

This is because, out of a photo of Andrew Garfield, Maguire, and Holland, the X handle asked Grok to remove the photo of the ‘Best’ friendly neighbourhood superhero out of the three, and Grok complied to remove Garfield from the image in a follow-up tweet (see @grok’s response on X). This, of course, infuriated a lot of fans, who have since been complaining in the comments section of the two tweets.
For those unversed, the viral AI trend is widely controversial, as it has had users exploiting the platform’s integrated AI chatbot, Grok, to generate non-consensual, explicit, or objectifying images of real individuals, including women and children (see The Guardian).
AI Ranks Tobey Maguire As the Worst Spider-Man

Apart from ranking Andrew Garfield as the best Spider-Man, Grok pulled off one more stunt that has been pissing Tobey Maguire’s fans off: It ranked the actor as the worst Spider-Man.
In another tweet posted by @neyion10 on X, Grok was asked to remove the “worst” webslinger from the three. In response, Grok ended up remastering the image such that Maguire was absent from it – meaning that it deemed the iconic actor from the original Spider-Man film series the worst of the three (see @grok’s response here).

Since then, fans have been complaining that Grok removed the “best” Spider-Man from the trio while roasting Holland and Garfield for being the unrecognizable ones from all three of them.
Tobey Maguire Fans Are Not Happy With These AI Results

Ever since Grok AI sided with Andrew Garfield over Maguire and Holland, Tobey Maguire’s fans have been really complaining about the results. In the comments section, they have since been rallying with their disappointment and roasting reactions to the same. Take a look at what they have to say:

Meanwhile, many other Garfield fans are jumping to his defense against these haters in the comments section, pointing out how accurate Grok was to filter out the results like this.
YES GROK FUCKING YES.
Andrew is the best out of them all

Judging from these reactions, this new trend appears to have pissed fans off even worse than the original “Ask-AI” one, which garnered a lot of controversy among netizens worldwide. But as this opens up for debate among the fandom, what’s your take on all this? Who is the best Spidey in your opinion? Let us know in the comments below!
