One key part of exploration in Revenge of the Savage Planet, a new Xbox Game Pass day-one release, is researching the environment and scanning the various plants, creatures, debris, etc. Once you reach the planet Xephyr, however, you’ll be given the «Best Served Cold» quest to help Martin Tweed from Kindred Aerospace dig up dirt on Alta. You’ll unlock this quest pretty much immediately after traveling to Xephyr for the first time, and Tweed will contact you automatically through your drone.
There will be a unique sort of scannable pod in Revenge of the Savage Planet called a Cry-o-Pod around Xephyr’s various areas, each one with some dirt on Alta in the form of a recording that will pop into your inventory once you’ve scanned it. There are five different Alta ‘Toxic’ Employee Cry-o-Pods to scan, and you’ll need to explore a large portion of Xephyr, to grab them all and unlock the «Toxic Positivity» achievement/trophy and complete the associated quest.
All Alta 'Toxic' Employee Cry-o-Pod Locations In Revenge Of The Savage Planet
There Are 5 Different Cry-o-Pods Located On Xephyr
With five different Cry-o-Pods to track down, you’ll need quite a few upgrades to be able to get all of them. Be sure you have upgraded your whip to be able to grapple and grind rails, and you’ll also need to have the Magnetic Fork and double-jump upgrades, although the lava pack upgrade is ideal and will make this quest a bit easier.
I recommend you complete the main quest first rather than tackling this as a Revenge of the Savage Planet beginner, as you’ll be able to access one of the Cry-o-Pods more easily.

To get to Cryopod NE1, you’ll need to descend into the Depths in the G’Nortt’s High Rise area to an underground area called Stone Aerie and shoot through the spider web to drop down and scan the cryopod. For the 10-DY Cryopod, you’ll have to feed the Maws to open up the roots and get access to the area where you can scan it. There are also two Orange Balls of Goo in this area, so be sure to gobble them up while you’re there.
Rewards For Collecting All Alta 'Toxic' Employee Cry-o-Pods
Unlock The "Toxic Positivity" Achievement & Complete The "Best Served Cold" Quest
Any achievement hunters playing Revenge of the Savage Planet should track down these cryopods, as you’ll be able to unlock the «Toxic Positivity» achievement/trophy. Further, this quest is part of a larger side quest associated with Tweed’s Revenge, aka «Best Served Cold,» where you will have to find different types of evidence on the different planets.
Importantly, completing all of Tweed’s quests that have you dig up dirt on Alta will lead you to one specific ending to the game. The Tweed’s Revenge ending is one of just a few different endings, and you need to collect a total of 13 different pieces of evidence from different planets to get this specific outcome.
Doing so will unlock the «Revenge Is Best Served via the Internet» trophy/achievement as well, but there are at least two other known endings so far. Overall, if you loved the original Journey to the Savage Planet and are on a mission to complete Revenge of the Savage Planet’s many achievements/trophies and see all of its hilarious possible endings, scanning all the Alta ‘Toxic’ Employee Cry-o-Pods is essential.
