What Are All The Anomalies in Animal Hospital
There are 15+ anomalies in Roblox Animal Hospital. Some of these spawn directly inside the hospital (Monsters, Ghosts), while some try to enter the hospital disguised as a patient or a visitor (Skinwalker, deformed animals). These anomalies can attack you to deplete your Sanity and even kill your patients if you don’t act quickly.
Read on to see how to identify the different types of anomalies that can spawn in Roblox Animal Hospital.
How to Identify All Appearance Anomalies in Animal Hospital
Some visitors will have a distinct appearance (different from the usual animals that show up in the hospital). These are known as appearance anomalies, and you should be able to identify these with a single glance.
Below are all the appearance anomalies that can show up on your reception window:
| Anomaly | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Hollow Eyes |
This anomaly has completely hollow eyes and, if let into the hospital, has a chance of causing the Death Ritual. |
![]() Human Teeth |
This anomaly behaves normally but has human-like teeth. If this anomaly enters the hospital, it can trigger the Death Ritual or turn into a Shapshifter. |
![]() Creepy Facial Expression |
An animal that has wide eyes and a creepy smile (as shown in the image in the left column) is also an anomaly. This anomaly can also cause the Death Ritual or become a Shapeshifter. |
![]() Three Eyes |
An anomaly with three hollow eyes that glow red is also an anomaly. This anomaly can cause monsters to emerge that will attack the patients. |
![]() Googly Eyes & Sharp Teeth |
This anomaly has weird eyes, a terrifying smile, and a distorted voice. That’s more than enough to understand that this animal will only cause problems if attended to. |
| Twitching | If you think an animal is twitching, take your time and observe them for a few more seconds. If their heads/arms twitch multiple times, they are an anomaly. |
![]() Head Banger |
The Head Banger is one of the most annoying and dangerous anomalies. They come near the reception window and keep banging their head on the glass until it cracks. This anomaly doesn’t cause any trouble if left alone. But if you interact with them without coffee, you will lose Sanity. |
How to Identify All Photo Anomalies in Animal Hospital
You can’t identify all the Animal Hospital anomalies just by looking at them. For some, you’ll need to take their photo and then examine it to determine whether they are a patient or an anomaly. Learn more about all the photo anomalies below:
| Anomaly | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Different Appearance in the Photo |
Some anomalies appear normal at first, but when you take a photo, you’ll notice a difference in the Ears, Eyes, Color, or Shape of the character. |
![]() Photo With Some Static |
When you take a photo of an animal and some sort of static shows up on it, that animal is an anomaly. This static effect can also be mixed with a different appearance. |
| Cursed Photos | The photos of some anomalies are considered Cursed. If you examine these photos during processing, you’ll lose 10 Sanity instantly. That’s why you should always wait for the picture to be processed completely. When you look at a fully processed Cursed Photo, you’ll see animals with an unnatural appearance. These are anomalies and should be avoided at all costs. |
How to Identify All CCTV Anomalies in Animal Hospital
Much like the anomalies that can only be identified using their Photo, there are a few anomalies that you can only identify using the CCTV cameras inside the reception office. These animals appear completely normal in the window as well as in their photo. So, regularly use the CCTVs to make sure the following anomalies don’t slip into the hospital.
| Anomaly | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Deformed Body |
Some animals will have a deformed body, but it will only appear as such on the CCTV. Their body will chance everytime you switch between cameras. |
![]() Void Body |
If you use the CCTV of the reception window and see an animal that has a completely black and hollow body, treat them as an anomaly. |
| Twitching | Some patients/visitors appear completely normal but can be seen twitching on the CCTV footage. Their twitching pattern is similar to the Twitching anomaly. |
![]() Shapeshifter/Skinwalker |
Shapeshifter/Skinwalker anomalies can only be spotted using the CCTV cameras. They appear normal when they walk in and in their photo. But when you look at them through the CCTV, you’ll see a wide mouth with sharp teeth. Use the waiting area camera to check. Also, a Skinwalker/Shapeshifter only shows themselves when they are standing at the reception window. |
| Different Ears | Some of the patients/visitors appear to have different ears when seen through the CCTV cameras. Those patients/visitors are anomalies and should be dealt with accordingly. |
| Staring Directly Towards the Security Cams | Sometimes, an animal will walk in, and whenever you use the CCTV cameras, they’ll be staring directly towards them. Don’t let them in, or they’ll cause different problems/emergencies in the hospital. |
| Black Eyes | When you look at an animal through the CCTV cameras and see a black bar over the face with realistic eyes, that animal is an anomaly and shouldn’t be allowed inside the hospital. |
| Black Body with Red Eyes | While watching through the CCTV cameras, you’ll sometimes encounter an internal anomaly that has a black body and red eyes. If you see this anomaly, click on Exit as quickly as possible, or you’ll start losing Sanity as the camera zooms into the anomaly. After exiting, go and repair the respective area’s camera to get access again. |
How To Defeat All The Anomalies in Animal Hospital
There are different ways of getting rid of the various Animal Hospital anomalies. The easiest way is to close the shutters and deny them service. If you can spot the anomalies while they’re at the reception window, press the big red button to close the shutters, and the animal will leave after a few seconds.
The only exception to this rule is the Head Banger anomaly. That’s because the Head Banger blocks the shutters from shutting down. So, to get rid of the Head Banger anomaly, you can either wait for him to tire and leave or give him coffee.
If you identify an anomaly after the check-in is complete, you can still get rid of it by:
- Using a Gun or a Taser on the anomaly. Using a taser on an anomaly will also give you +2 Sanity.
- Completing the diagnosis process and then giving them the wrong medicine to kill them. This will affect your end-of-shift rewards.
