How to push your way into the mirror dimension and reach the game’s penultimate dungeon.
There are loads of fun and interesting quests and puzzles to discover naturally in Mina the Hollower, but the puzzle of the mirrors is one that will actually bar you from the penultimate dungeon if you can’t figure it out.
Here, we’ll help you figure out how to enter into the various mirrors scattered around Mina the Hollower’s world, and where you can find all five of the game’s mirrors while you’re exploring Ossex.

How to enter mirrors in Mina the Hollower
You’ll likely bump into a number of mirrors while exploring Mina the Hollower normally, over the course of the story. But until you see one of the game’s NPCs walk through a mirror later in the game, you might not know that you can do anything with them (aside from make faces, which you can do by interacting with the mirror while close).
In order to enter any mirror and reach the Astral Orrery — Mirror’s End in Mina the Hollower, all you need to do is press Mina’s body against the mirror by physically walking into it. If you do this for a few seconds, Mina will eventually pass through the glass and load into the game’s hub world.
While you don’t need to use this mirror trick until much later in the game, it’s actually an ability you’ll have the moment you hit start on your save — similar to the wall jump in Super Metroid — and isn’t something you need to earn or unlock. So if you’re reading this before you reach the penultimate dungeon, try walking into these mirrors whenever you find them and then hit the switch on the other side. You’ll actually save yourself quite a bit of time backtracking in the endgame.
Where to find every mirror in Mina the Hollower
When it comes time to find the Astral Orrery — the mirror dimension dungeon — the game will make it relatively obvious that you need to enter inside the mirrors by having an NPC walk through the large one inside the Radiant Manor. This mirror (which is front and center when you walk in, you can’t miss it) will take you to the Astral Orrery — Mirror’s End, which acts as a kind of teleportation hub to five of Mina the Hollower’s major zones.
In order to bypass the platform puzzle on the north side of Mirror’s End, you’ll need to pass through the mirrors in their respective zones and activate the switches on the other side (it’s worth noting that you can actually reach the Astral Orrery dungeon without unlocking the pink switch, which is found on the other side of the Coltrane Peak mirror).
Hitting each of these switches will also remove a barrier between the mirror and the Mirror’s End area, allowing you to very quickly travel between the various areas in Mina the Hollower.
You can find a mirror in the following five areas, and we’ll break down the exact locations below:
- Queensbury Crypt (Statue Head Hall)
- Nox’s Bayou (Moonlit Path)
- Septemburg (Crow Town, Farm House)
- Bone Beach (Worm’s Back, Hide Tent)
- Coltrane Peak (Icebound Cavern)
Queensbury Crypt
The Queensbury Crypt mirror is easy to find, if you know where to look. All you need to do is proceed through the dungeon like normal. Eventually, you’ll reach Statue Head Hall, where you’ll need to collect two statue heads to open the way. Ignore the main objective and instead look to the right side of the main screen, by the right statue. On the left side, you’ll see a rug that has a path on the other side of it. Mirrored on your side, you’ll see no path, but instead find a tattered rug. Burrow into the rug and push forward.
You’ll find a nearly identical room behind the right rug as you will the left. But on the right, you’ll find the Queensbury Crypt mirror. Push into it to reach the Astral Orrery.
Nox’s Bayou
In the Nox’s Bayou dungeon, you’ll want to push through until you reach the Big Lagoon area. From there, find your way to the bottom left part of the area, and look for the opening in the wall. Burrow through the tunnel and you’ll reach a new zone called the Moonlit Path.
Inside the Moonlit Path, follow the lily pads north — you’ll need to do a small jumping puzzle here, which involves burrowing into the water and jumping onto the pads. Eventually, you’ll enter an open area and need to defeat a moon boss.
Once you take it down, push north one more time and you’ll find a small shack in the bayou. Inside that shack is the Nox’s Bayou mirror, which will take you back to the Astral Orrery.
Septemburg
In Septemburg, as you’re rampaging through the area, slow down a bit when you enter Crow Town, which is at the northern end of the long bridge area.
Instead of pushing deeper into the dungeon, look to the left side of the area and you’ll find a farm house with a red (weapon upgrade) chest sitting on top. Enter inside and you’ll see a bunch of crows, several piles of leaves, and a mirror. Clear the area of enemies and push into the mirror to reach the Astral Orrery.
Bone Beach
As you push through Bone Beach, you’ll eventually reach the Worm’s Back area, which you’ll get to from inside the dungeon. Eventually, you’ll come across a red chest that you seemingly can’t reach. Keep going right until you find a tent surrounded by bones, enemies, and the purple shrubs.
Enter the tent to reach the Hide Tent area. There, you’ll see a mirror in the corner. Push into it and you’ll reach the Astral Orrery.
Coltrane Peak
In Coltrane Peak, progress normally until you reach the Rail Yard. You’ll eventually find a sprawling puzzle that will ask you to rail-ride multiple different directions to reach a few different areas. If you take the left path, you’ll eventually find yourself in the southeastern part of the area, which is hiding a blue chest and a silver tunnel. Dive into the tunnel to reach the Icebound Cavern.
Once inside the Icebound Cavern, all you need to do is go immediately to your right. Burrow into the snow once you pass the ice, and keep pushing right to enter an even smaller cave.
In that small room, you’ll find a bed and another mirror. Press into it to reach the Astral Orrery.
