They call me Code. James Code.

There are many different doors and safe codes throughout 007 First Light. Some are mandatory for progressing the story, while others can get you shortcuts and even collectibles. While I’ll list out the codes for you below, it’s much more fun to find them yourselves and unlock some challenge completions along the way.

Laundry Area Code (Chapter
- Code: 1805

During Chapter 8, ‘All the Time in the World’, you’ll be tasked with getting into the laundry room. The code is 1805, and you can get the details on how to find the code in our Laundry Area Code guide.

Maintenance Door Code (Chapter 11)
- Code: 3256
- Location: Courtyard
- Reward: Museum courtyard key card and 9 of Belles card

In Chapter 11, ‘Uninvited’, you’ll have to escape the courtyard by finding a Museum Courtyard Keycard. There are two ways to go about this. One is to steal it off one of the bodyguards at the end of the area who’s hanging out on the floor directly above the exit, and the other is to find a spare one in the Maintenance Room. However, you’ll need the code to get that spare.

The code can be found in the library, which is on the bottom floor on the right side of the exit. On a laptop inside the library, you can examine it to get the room code. Then head to the Dining room, which is to the left of the exit across from the library. The Maintenance door is right behind the piano.

Webb Industries Penthouse Safe Code (Chapter 12)
- Code: 1493
- Location: Webb Industries Penthouse
- Reward: Command Code

This one is required to continue the story. In Chapter 12, ‘Knightfall,’ you’re tasked with getting the Command Code for Isola. The hint that she gives you is: Diploma, Painting, Game, Model.

You’ll see those items around the room, and you have to examine them. Read the flavor text and they’ll give a number associated with it. For example, examining the painting shows you that it’s called, ‘Basilisk, rendition #4,’ meaning that the second digit is 4. After examining those items, you should be able to piece together that the code is 1493.

Q-Lab Armory Door Code (Chapter 15)
- Code: 1324
- Location: Q-Lab
- Reward: Service Pistol
In Chapter 15, ‘Man of the Hour,’ you’ll be in Q-Lab looking for your equipment, including a new pistol. In order to get it, you’ll need to get into the armory room. Simply just go to the shooting range and look at the note left behind from Brooks. It mentions something about the leaderboard glitching. Look directly above you and you can see that Waters’s high score is 1324, which is the code.

Q-Lab Cabinet Code (Chapter 15)
- Code: 4397
- Location: Q-Lab
- Reward: Photo collectible
This is also during the same segment as the Q-Lab Armory Door code. In Chapter 15, ‘Man of the Hour,’ you’ll need to grab the Q-Watch from the Stress Test Room. In the room, you’ll find a cabinet with a number pad and a paper note with a hint on it. It says that the code is always related to the subject itself.
Also in the room is a car. Take a look at the license plate, which says, ‘QLA 4397,’ so 4397 is the code. As a reward for unlocking the cabinet, you’ll find a photo collectible.

Archive Door Code (Chapter 16)
- Code: 1864
- Location: Operations Department
- Reward: Security Office path

In Chapter 16, ‘Wave of the Future,’ there’s a point where you’ll need to upgrade your ID bracelet in the security office. There are several waves to accomplish this. One of them is to get the Archival Door Code, which itself has a few ways of discovering it.

The quickest and easiest way requires you to have the right gadgets. When you get into the Operations room, there’s an eavesdropping opportunity where the lady coworker is saying how her ID stopped working (you don’t have to activate it). Nearby, there’s a civilian (use your Q-Watch vision to see) with a yellow Office Key that you can pickpocket, but you’ll need to distract him. So either use your poison darts or laser watch to do so, and then grab the key off his person.
Go back from where you entered the Operations Department and you’ll find a broom closet door. Use the Office Key to open it, and in the rightside locker, open it up and you’ll see a riddle that’ll give you the code, with the hint being that it’s the year of a famous battle.

After figuring out the riddle, which is 1864, you can use that to enter the Archival Room. In the room is a vent that you can crawl through to get to the security office and upgrade your ID.

Best of luck opening every safe and door in 007 First Light!
