ARC Raiders has an awful lot of loot for you to scavenge in this extraction shooter. And like in any good game, the very best loot is behind locked doors that can only be opened with a single item.
If you come across one of these locked doors in the various locations across the topside, you’ll need the corresponding key to get them open. Sounds easy enough, but there’s always a catch.
This guide will cover getting your hands on a Dam Surveillance Key and where you can actually use the thing. It can be a bit annoying, but not nearly as annoying as some others in the game.
Where to find a Dam Surveillance Key
You can find keys just like the Dam Surveillance Key as random loot in the wild, although they spawn more often in residential districts. This means it’s really up to chance for most of them, but this one in particular is tied to a quest.
To unlock this quest, you’ll need to have called in a supply drop and looted it for the A Better Use quest. The moment you complete it, you’ll be able to accept the Greasing Her Palms quest and get your hands on the key.
Where to Use the Dam Surveillance Key
As soon as you spawn into Dam Battlegrounds, I recommend making a fast break for the Water Treatment Control since you’ll want to grab the loot quickly. It’ll take up most of your slots anyway, so you’ll want to do this first.
If you’re coming up from the ground, you can follow the images and instructions below; if not, you should be able to figure it out pretty easily:
- From the ground, go to the open part with the metal stairs.
- Take the stairs up to the main area with all the doors.
- From the stairs, stay facing the same direction, and the door will be the first on your right.
- The door in the back right of this room is the locked surveillance room.
Once it’s open, you’ll be able to gather all the loot you can carry. After that, it’s just a matter of making it home.
Dam Surveillance Key Rewards
You’ll get a whole lot of loot from this, so it’s absolutely a good idea to have a loot augment. The more safe pockets you can bring, the better.
Here’s a short list of the items I gathered:
- Two Rare Guns
- One Uncommon Gun
- Two Blueprints
- Five Rare Materials
There’s always tons of stuff hidden behind all of these locked doors. If you manage to score a key, you might want to head out on a Night Raid if you’re feeling particularly lucky, since those offer even better loot.
