Water park gone wrong
Water balloons and pool noodles are the usual conflict at a splash pad. In Charlotte, North Carolina, it was two grown men throwing punches instead, with kids playing just feet away. The roughly 36-second clip was filmed at a public splash pad on what appears to be a sunny day with the water features running and several young children playing nearby, including girls in pink swimsuits.

The video was shared on X by @mattvanswol. Two men – one in a black tank top and shorts, the other in a red shirt – are shown physically fighting inside the splash pad area itself, with pushing, swinging arms, and grappling caught on camera.
The handheld footage, filmed from a shaded picnic area, shakes and pans to follow the two men as the altercation continues for the length of the clip.
Several children can be seen nearby during the fight, with some appearing to watch and others moving away while continuing to play in the water. Bystanders, including a group of men at a nearby picnic table, are seen observing the fight rather than stepping in.
Neither man involved has been identified, and it’s not clear from the video what led to the confrontation or whether anyone, including staff or security, intervened once the camera stopped recording.

The video has sparked strong reactions online, with many commenters criticizing the men for fighting in front of children. One commenter wrote, “I am so angry! This is Trump’s America. He has to get his nose out of blueprints and *expletive* off the golf course and start making America safe again.” Another made a similar point about the setting, writing, “So we going to ignore a grown man is in a park made for kids?”
Several commenters focused less on politics and more on the men’s behavior. One wrote, “They may be adults in age. But they act like two spoiled children.” Another added, “This is sooo sad.
