Below Deck Down Under Season 3’s Tzarina Mace-Ralph Could Be Feuding With Deckhand Harry Van Vliet (There Are Post-Show Clues)

Below Deck Down Under season 3 has painted Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph in a whole new light for viewers, and after the show finished filming, it may have cost her the relationship she’d built with Deckhand Harry Van Vliet. Although Below Deck Down Under season 3 hasn’t come to its conclusion yet, the show has been a difficult ride for Tzarina. Coming from Below Deck Down Under season 2 having had a dramatic but positive experience, Tzarina’s been dealing with a lot of the fallout of having a dramatic season of reality TV under her belt, even prior to its end.

Throughout the run of Below Deck Down Under, the crew relationships have been some of the most interesting in the franchise. Tzarina, who came into the series just a season ago, built great relationships with the crew she worked on during Below Deck Down Under season 2. Harry, who was happy to be able to return as a deckhand again on Below Deck Down Under season 3, was one of the people she’d connected with during her first charter season. Because they’ve been fairly close, it was shocking to learn their friendship may have been impacted by Tzarina’s villain edit.

Harry & Tzarina Have Been Close All Season

Their Friendship Has Been Sweet

Throughout Below Deck Down Under season 3, one of the most interesting storylines to watch has been the way that Tzarina and Harry’s relationship has grounded them. For Tzarina, who’s having a tough charter season, it’s become clear that she feels isolated and alone aboard Katina. Despite having a crew that she could make amends with or build bonds with, Tzarina’s found herself struggling to move through the experience of being on Below Deck Down Under season 3 and continue to work well within the galley. Harry, however, has been having a tremendous moment of growth during the charter season.

While they’ve been on opposite ends of the spectrum, seeing Tzarina and Harry interacting has been a great way to bridge the gap between both ends of the spectrum. While Harry has been doing well in his position after facing adversity early on with Bosun Wihan Du Toit, Tzarina has been feeling the burn of the season as it’s continued on and she’s had to handle difficulties in her own work. Harry and Tzarina, who renewed a bond after Below Deck Down Under season 2 brought them together, have been helping each other stay grounded and prepared all season long.

Tzarina’s Become A Below Deck Villain

She's Not Working Well With Others

Although Harry and Tzarina have been bonded throughout the charter, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Tzarina’s role on Below Deck Down Under this season. While filming for the show wrapped long ago, Tzarina’s actions playing out on screen have painted her into a corner and made her more of a villain than viewers could’ve imagined. As she’s been struggling to accept the villain edit that’s been showing off her tough actions, Tzarina’s been facing backlash from every direction. While it’s not confirmed, this may include seeing problems from her former Below Deck crew mates, like her friend Harry.

They May Not Be Friends Anymore

Though it may not be an indication of the end of their friendship, it’s notable that Tzarina and Harry have appeared to un one another on Instagram after filming Below Deck Down Under season 3. While there could be an explanation that doesn’t spell the end of their friendship, it feels like the possibilities are somewhat limited. As friends who have appeared on more than one season of a show together, Tzarina and Harry not ing each other on social media is a telltale sign that their friendship has changed since Below Deck Down Under season 3 wrapped its filming.

Below Deck Down Under airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
