With the right build, Zibai has some pretty good front-loaded damage while remaining surprisingly tanky, and she’s a strong choice for both Abyss overworld play. So if you just pulled her, this guide covers the best Zibai build in Genshin Impact 6.3, including her best weapons, artifacts, stat priorities, and teams.
Best Weapons for Zibai in Genshin Impact 6.3
As a DEF-scaling DPS, Zibai wants DEF or CRIT stats and Lunar-Crystallize bonuses far more than ATK. So, for weapons, the best ones are those that buff reaction damage or scale with DEF, and they will easily be better than the usual DPS swords.
Her signature 5-star weapon, Lightbearing Moonshard, is her best-in-slot by a wide margin. It buffs DEF directly and massively increases Lunar-Crystallize damage after using her Elemental Skill, which is perfect for her kit and rotation. Since Zibai’s damage window happens immediately after entering Lunar Phase Shift, this passive has near-perfect uptime.

One of the best 5-star alternatives is Uraku Misugiri, Chiori’s signature weapon, thanks to its mix of CRIT DMG, DEF stats, and buffs to Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill damage when Geo damage is dealt. It synergizes extremely well with Zibai’s on-field playstyle and is her strongest non-signature option.
Other 5-star swords like Light of Foliar Incision can work if you have excess Elemental Mastery, while Peak Patrol Song offers DEF scaling and team-wide Elemental DMG bonuses, making it a solid hybrid DPS/support option.
For free-to-play players, Harbinger of Dawn is decent due to its CRIT stats, especially when paired with strong shielding (such as Zhongli) to maintain high HP. Flute of Ezpitzal is a craftable option, which is a DEF-focused weapon that performs well in longer fights.
Best Artifacts for Zibai in Genshin Impact 6.3
Zibai’s artifact options are pretty straightforward because one set clearly outshines the rest.
Night of the Sky’s Unveiling is her best set. It gives her Elemental Mastery, a large CRIT Rate boost based on the team’s Moonsign level, and party-wide Lunar Reaction damage bonuses.
And since Zibai constantly triggers Lunar-Crystallize, she fully benefits from every part of the 4-piece effect. This set significantly reduces her CRIT Rate requirements, letting you focus more heavily on DEF and CRIT DMG.

If you don’t yet have a good Night of the Sky’s Unveiling set, Husk of Opulent Dreams is a viable alternative. Its DEF stacking fits Zibai’s scaling, but the Geo DMG bonus is less impactful for Lunar-Crystallize damage.
If you really need to, you can also use 2-piece setups with DEF% and Elemental Mastery. But these fall short compared to 4-piece sets.
For main stats, Zibai prefers DEF% on the Sands and Goblet, with a CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG Circlet depending on your substats. Geo DMG Goblets are generally not recommended, as Lunar reactions do not scale with DMG% bonuses.
Substat priority leans heavily toward CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, followed by DEF%, then Elemental Mastery. Energy Recharge is useful but not essential, as her Burst plays a secondary role compared to her Skill.
Zibai Stat and Talent Priorities in Genshin Impact 6.3
Zibai’s entire kit scales with DEF, so reaching a high DEF threshold is the first goal. In most builds, you’re gonna want around 2,500 DEF or more. Of course, that’s not all. You’ll have to balance CRIT stats and a modest amount of Elemental Mastery to make your Lunar-Crystallize damage better.
Her talent priority reflects her playstyle. Her Elemental Skill should always be leveled first, as it enables Lunar Phase Shift and Spirit Steed’s Stride, which account for most of her damage.
Her Elemental Burst comes second. It gives you some burst Lunar-Crystallize damage. And lastly, her Normal Attacks can safely be left at low levels since their damage is negligible.
Best Team Compositions for Zibai in Genshin Impact 6.3
Zibai works best in teams that use Geo and Hydro characters since the Lunar-Crystallize reaction requires Hydro application and benefits heavily from Moonsign synergy.
With that in mind, her strongest teams have Columbina and Illuga. Columbina gives consistent Hydro application and powerful Lunar reaction buffs, making her the single best partner for Zibai.
Illuga is her dedicated 4-star support for Lunar-Crystallize teams, who buffs reaction damage and scales even more when paired with other Geo or Hydro characters.

A typical example of her best team will be Zibai with Columbina, Illuga, and a DEF or Geo support such as Gorou, Zhongli, or Xilonen. These teams maximize Lunar-Crystallize uptime while keeping Zibai safe on the field.
If Columbina is unavailable, you can use other Hydro units like Yelan, Xingqiu, Aino, or Mona. But note that the overall damage will be lower. For free-to-play or mixed rosters, you can also use Zibai with Aino or Jahoda alongside Geo supports.

While her team options are currently on the scarce side, her damage output, ease of building, and potential long-term relevance in the Nod-Krai meta make her a strong pull, especially if you consider the fact that the 4-star characters in her banner basically make the perfect team in and of themself.
Regardless of the team, you’re going to want at least one Moonsign character on the team to maintain Ascendant Gleam and maximize her enhanced attacks. And with the right build and teams, Zibai is one of the better DPS characters in Genshin Impact 6.3.
