The Nursery is a calm little Bedroom that quietly hands out bonus movement; no lullabies required. It’s a Drafting Room, it’s a Bedroom, and it’s one of the best early picks if you’re trying to stretch your Steps without a complicated setup.

What the Nursery Room Does
Here’s what happens once you’ve drafted a Nursery:
-
You gain +5 Steps every time you draft any Bedroom
-
Costs 1 Gem to place
-
Dead-End room — be mindful of where you put it
-
Counts as a Bedroom for any other step-related or item-based effects
This bonus stacks each time you draft a new Bedroom, so if you pick up a few Sleep Studies or Master Bedrooms later, that’s a big boost for a low cost.
Where to Place It
Since it’s a Dead-End, draft it off to the side—maybe near your early game Hallways or behind a resource room. Just don’t put it in the middle of a key path. It won’t connect anywhere else.
Why It’s Good
Steps are your most limited resource in Blue Prince. Getting a passive way to earn more of them—especially from common room types—is a big win. Combine the Nursery with other Bedroom effects for some solid momentum.
Final Blurb
The Nursery is less about babies and more about hard work. Draft it early, grab a few more Bedrooms, and suddenly you’ve got Steps to spare. Just don’t block yourself in with cribs.
