Throughout the vast world that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has set up, you will come across various dungeons that are filled with dangerous monsters. For one location, called the Sinister Cave, you will be met with overwhelming darkness under a rather majestic sky. You’d think that this place holds numerous dangerous, but you’d only be partially correct. More than anything, this dungeon holds a single nasty boss, one that guards some powerful level 13 weapons for your characters. Take him down with this detailed guide.

Strategy
Like any good fight, the first thing we suggest is burning the boss to consistently take chip damage every turn. After that, be sure to bring Verso in with his Light-based ability to take advantage of the boss’ weakness.
Chromatic Chalier will start off with a Berserk debuff, which gains a stack every turn (up to 12 times), giving him a 5% damage increase each time. This means that the longer the fight goes on, the more dangerous it becomes.
Outside of that, though, this fight can be a bit challenging given his attack patterns. While he only has three, they are quite varied, from the Relentless Combo which throws in a very fast strike halfway through, to the Swiping Combo that starts off with a fast Jump Parry and a quick -up attack after that.
Because he has Berserk, he gets more dangerous as the fight goes along, but you should be able to pick up on the patterns much quicker than his buff increases. So, while he does more damage later in the fight, chances are you will have every pattern down where it doesn’t even matter.
