Contamination Yet a Trace Quest Guide — Infinity Nikki

Contamination Yet a Trace Quest Guide - Infinity Nikki

This Exclusive quest takes place on Serenity Island as part of the Bubble Season update in Version 1.5. You’ll investigate a strange outbreak in Steamville, explore a hidden cave, and uncover shady business involving crystal salt.

Here’s the full quest guide and walkthrough.

How to Start Contamination, Yet a Trace

  1. Open your Quest Menu

  2. Go to the Exclusive section

  3. Select Contamination, Yet a Trace

After accepting the quest, head to Steamville in the High Stonetree area. A cutscene should trigger automatically. If it doesn’t, restart the game and try again.

Step 1: Talk to Macy, the Village Head

  • Macy’s location is marked on your map

  • Jump down from the ledge and approach her to trigger the next cutscene

  • She’ll direct you to investigate a potential outbreak by speaking to Doctor Piecie

Step 2: Find Rita’s Clinic

Follow the quest marker to a nearby cave entrance

Inside the cave:

  • Look left and awaken the Springbloom to float upward

  • At the cliff edge, roll two boulders to reveal a hidden path

  • Explore the cave for loot and hidden chests

  • Enemies may appear, but you can ignore them if you want to move quickly

At the end of the path, you’ll reach Rita’s clinic and trigger another cutscene.

Step 3: Visit the Steamville Market at Night

Next, you’ll need to:

  • Wait until nighttime

  • Go to the Steamville market

  • Find the merchant named Shadow

During the conversation, choose the second dialogue option: “Give me a bunch of cheap ones”

If you choose the wrong option the dialogue will loop so be sure you select the right one.

Step 4: Report Back to Macy

Return to Macy after buying the crystal salt. Nikki will explain what she discovered, and the quest will wrap up.

Final Blurb

Contamination, Yet a Trace sends you deep into a hidden cave and right into a shady market deal. Follow the clues, make the right dialogue choice, and don’t forget to roll those boulders. A little salt goes a long way when you’re solving medical mysteries in Infinity Nikki.
