This Exclusive quest takes place on Serenity Island as part of the Bubble Season update in Version 1.5. You’ll investigate a strange outbreak in Steamville, explore a hidden cave, and uncover shady business involving crystal salt.

How to Start Contamination, Yet a Trace

Open your Quest Menu

Go to the Exclusive section

Select Contamination, Yet a Trace
After accepting the quest, head to Steamville in the High Stonetree area. A cutscene should trigger automatically. If it doesn’t, restart the game and try again.
Step 1: Talk to Macy, the Village Head

Macy’s location is marked on your map

Jump down from the ledge and approach her to trigger the next cutscene

She’ll direct you to investigate a potential outbreak by speaking to Doctor Piecie
Step 2: Find Rita’s Clinic
Follow the quest marker to a nearby cave entrance
Inside the cave:

Look left and awaken the Springbloom to float upward
-
At the cliff edge, roll two boulders to reveal a hidden path
-
Explore the cave for loot and hidden chests
-
Enemies may appear, but you can ignore them if you want to move quickly
At the end of the path, you’ll reach Rita’s clinic and trigger another cutscene.
Step 3: Visit the Steamville Market at Night
Next, you’ll need to:

Wait until nighttime

Go to the Steamville market

Find the merchant named Shadow
During the conversation, choose the second dialogue option: “Give me a bunch of cheap ones”
If you choose the wrong option the dialogue will loop so be sure you select the right one.
Step 4: Report Back to Macy
Return to Macy after buying the crystal salt. Nikki will explain what she discovered, and the quest will wrap up.
