How to activate the ancient generator and piece the kiln back together

Crimson Desert’s Kiln Repair quest is one of the first times you’re presented with a rather confusing state of affairs in the game that you can’t just walk away from. The Klinden Workshop is busted, and there’s no manual for how to fix it. There is a lot of tinkering, though, and that plus some observation will help see you through.
And this guide. Below, we break down each step of Crimson Desert’s Kiln Repair quest, including how to activate the generator.
Crimson Desert kiln repair at the Klinden Workshop
- Activate the ancient generator
- Place the kiln back together
- Put fuel into the kiln
Activate the ancient generator

The first step is to activate the ancient generator, a process that involves aligning three symbols and powering them up. Approach the turbine, and interact with the lever. Turn it all the way to the right to activate the lowermost symbol. Turn the wooden lever on the side of the turbine until the symbol lines up with the other lit symbol. Then, interact with the lever again and turn it so it’s pointing straight up. This’ll activate the middle symbol. Rotate the tower so the middle symbol lines up with the bottom two.
Turn the lever to the left, then repeat the process for the top symbol. Blue energy will flood the turbine and activate the kiln. Now it’s time to actually fix it.
Place the kiln back together
South of the generator is the kiln itself, and it’s in pieces. Most of them don’t matter, including all the ones that resemble chimney stacks. You want these two, in this order.

Use Axiom Force to grab the first piece, and rotate it until it aligns roughly with the piece sitting on top of the kiln. You’ll know you have it right when a green, leafy cloud appears from the middle of it. Climb up to the piece, jump, and use Force Palm to slot it into place. Repeat this for the second piece.

Use the wooden handle to rotate the kiln clockwise. You’ll face resistance, but keep pushing until a short scene plays showing hte kiln firing up again.
Put fuel into the kiln

Your final stop is north of the generator. You’ll see another round, stone object, and this one has a bunch of open chutes. Nearby are several glowing blow spheres, aka the kiln’s fuel. Use Axiom Force to plop the speheres into the chutes. The fuel behaves as if it’s magnetized, so the easiest way to get it in the right place is to shove it in the chute. The third clump of fuel is outside a cave with a dilapidated metal grate half-covering the entrance, and the fourth is acting as the eye in a bird-like statue. Once all the fuel’s in place, rotate the device clockwise until it activates.
And there you go! Kiln repaired.
