After almost half a decade, Black Clover fans finally have some good news. A brand-new season of the Shonen Jump series was revealed at Anime Expo 2025, complete with a first trailer and a new anime visual.
Per a press release, Crunchyroll officially announced the return of the Black Clover anime series at its industry panel held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at this year’s Anime Expo convention held in Los Angeles, California. Black Clover Season 2 will air exclusively on Crunchyroll, picking up where the 2015 anime series left off. Studio Pierrot, the Japanese anime studio behind Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, will continue its adaptation of the Shonen Jump manga. An official release date has not been announced yet. However, Crunchyroll released the first teaser trailer for Black Clover Season 2.

In addition to Black Clover Season 2, Crunchyroll announced new and returning anime series for 2026 and beyond. Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the supernatural adventure series by Fullmetal Alchemist author Hiromu Arakawa, is receiving an anime adaptation by studio Bones, the anime studio behind Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Yusuke Kobayashi, the Japanese voice actor of Subaru Natsuki, announced on stage that Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 4 will air exclusively on Crunchyroll. A teaser trailer for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 was also shown, as well as confirmation of Classroom of the Elite Season 3.
The original Black Clover anime series aired for 170 episodes from Oct. 3, 2017, to March 30, 2021. Season 1 of the anime is available on various streaming services, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu. New and previous chapters of the Black Clover manga are available via Viz Media and the Manga Plus apps.
