Cyberpunk 2077 fans can soon get their hands on a life-size replica of the game’s Thermal Katana, which comes with glowing LEDs and built-in sound effects.

While CD Projekt Red has released everything from jackets to Johnny Silverhand’s sunglasses over the years, the latest collector’s item is arguably its coolest and most deadly-looking yet: the Thermal Katana.

The life-size replica faithfully recreates the Errata Thermal Katana and features a display stand for showing it off when you’re not pretending to slice through gangs in Night City.

As showcased via the official store page, the sci-fi sword features a red LED blade that lights up to mimic its fiery appearance.

There’s even a built-in sound chip that plays combat sound effects whenever the sword is swung, so you won’t need to make your own lightsaber sounds when swooshing it around (you can still make them, I won’t judge you).

Unlike the real Thermal Katana, this version is made from injection-moulded plastic and arrives in three sections that have one-time locking attachment points.

I imagine this is so the blade doesn’t snap during transportation, and to keep customs from freaking out and asking why you have a katana delivery headed your way.

Alongside the standard Errata Thermal Katana, a second Valentino edition is also up for pre-order. This version’s inspired by the Heywood gang from Cyberpunk 2077, and features an alternate colour scheme while retaining the same 47-inch (119cm) length, LED lighting, sound effects, and display stand.

If pretending to duel with Adam Smasher in your own living room doesn’t sound like a good way to spend an evening, then have you ever considered kitting out your wardrobe with some Bloodborne-inspired threads?
