You’re in for a challenging adventure when you venture into the Dark World of Deltarune. As Kris, you’ll be joined by Susie and Ralsei once more in the third chapter of this retro RPG. The challenges you’ll face will include quizzes, battles with shoot ‘em up mechanics, and a variety of puzzles that will rack your brain.
Some puzzles are an inevitable part of your journey. Often, these are simple to solve and some NPCs may even give you a hint. Other puzzles are optional, but will reward you with an item or a secret. These tend to be more challenging but worth the effort.
How To Solve The First Bridge Puzzle
One puzzle you might come across will have you playing a console game. In this puzzle, you will be presented with four bridge pieces, a few isolated islands, and a button on the opposite island from where you spawned. To solve the puzzle, you need to use the bridges to get across the river and make it to the island with the red button.
For this puzzle, you will only need Susie and her ability to pick the bridges up. First, take the two-block bridge in the upper-left corner and lay it down along the second row from the top, right next to the shore. Next, walk over that bridge and head to the top island with the one-block bridge lying on it.
If you mess up at any point, you can use the bell to reset all the pieces to their original positions.
Pick the one-block bridge up and lay it down directly to the right of where you found it. This will bridge the gap going to the next island. Head back to the starting island and pick up the other one-block bridge lying above the bell.
Use the one-block bridge on the water block found in the top-right corner. This will allow you to make it all the way to the island with the button.
Susie can also pluck the weeds growing in the sand. Make sure to pick them for extra points.
Press the button to solve the puzzle. After that, the spikes that were blocking your path to a chest in the real world will retract. Exit the game and open the chest to receive your reward for solving the puzzle.
