Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards

The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including Nightfall strike, seasonal missions, challenges, and much more.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards

Updated April 12, 2024: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The week many in the community have anticipated is finally here as Destiny 2's Into The Light event has arrived. As previously revealed through a trio of livestreams, the event adds a PvE-style Horde mode called Onslaught, a new social space with Lord Shaxx in charge, as well as 12 returning weapons organized into a new category called the Brave Arsenal.

April 9 is also a big day for fans because Bungie also confirmed that it would be holding a big Destiny 2 Final Shape expansion reveal, giving fans new details in advance of the expansion's launch in June. As expected, Bungie revealed new gameplay during the developer preview, including showcasing many new enemy types, exotics that can pull and combine perks from other gear, as well as the ability to mix Light and Dark subclasses into one powerful type. Bungie is hoping players flex their build creativity by combining all of these elements together.

Alongside Into the Light, it's time to discuss the Destiny 2 weekly reset, which continues to bring updated weekly challenges, content, and rewards to hunt. For a complete look at all the new content available for the week of April 9, including Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges. Here is everything players need to know.

Season of the Wish Activities

With Season of the Wish, the Vanguard discovered the fifteenth wish, though with the last Ahamkara being killed, there didn't seem to be a way to utilize it to open the way through the Traveler portal. However, Mara Sov and her Techeun used Awoken magic to commune with Riven's spirit, though she is not thrilled to see her killers once more. Alongside a seasonal story line involving Riven and the Ahamkara, new activities are available to play through, including the three-player activity called Riven's Lair. Taking place under the Dreaming City, players will need to work together to claim the last remaining uncorrupted Ahamkara Eggs while fighting off powerful enemies and claiming loot.

Season 23 also features a new Battle Pass to work through, the return of the Dragon's Breath exotic rocket launcher, as well as a brand-new dungeon called Warlord's Ruin kicking off at 9am PT on December 1. .
