The Olympics has continued to provide exciting stories, not least the triumph of USA athlete Noah Lyles in the 100m sprint. Now, he’s revealed his plans for after the games are set to be considerably more relaxed, as he jumps back into League of Legends.

In a post on Twitter/X, Olympic athlete Pau Echaniz, who himself won a bronze medal in the K1 Slalom, shared that he was streaming League after his impressive performance at the games.

In response, Noah Lyles said, “This bout to be me after the 4x100m,” where he revealed that he also enjoys playing Riot’s flagship MOBA in the process. The replies were predictably filled with excited fans of the game, many of whom wanted to know exactly who he mains.

Though Lyles has offered no further clarification on exactly how big a fan he is, the sprinter has a history with gaming and the popular TCG Yu-Gi-Oh! in particular.

At the Track and Field Team Trials back in June, Lyles revealed a Blue-Eyes White Dragon card that he had hidden in his sprint suit. He has also brought out Exodia cards at official events in the past and even went as far as wearing a duel disk for his entrance.

Unfortunately for Lyles, he’ll have to put any plans for video games on hold until his commitments at the Paris Olympics are done. He managed to close out the 100m with a gold medal in a blistering time of 9.79, just edging out Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson in a photo finish.

Following that epic win, he also managed to sneak in a subtle Dragon Ball Z reference by posing in a way that fans of the series would quickly recognize.

Up next is the 4x100m relay, with the heats set to start on August 8. Assuming the USA team is able to progress to the final, he will also be needed the following day on Friday 9, leaving the whole weekend open for League of Legends.
