A solid early to mid-game character, this steel version of Captain Amelia, the captain of RLS Legacy, is the anti-pirate character. Her Driveling Galoots ability can’t be challenged by Pirates, though that’s not generally the most relevant ability.

She does provide a bit of support with her Everything Shipshape ability, which grants your other characters resist +1 while she is being challenged. Reducing your team’s damage by one can keep many characters alive past certain doom.

Jim certainly looks very noble in his full pirate regalia on his Honorable Pirate card, and he’s here to ship off on a new adventure. Jim’s Hire A Crew ability triggers when you play him, letting you take a peek at the top four cards of your deck.

From those cards, you can take any number of Pirate cards from those four cards and you get to add them to your hand. An iconic relic from the film, the item card Map of Treasure Planet is a neat little inkable card that does to fairly strong things for you once in play. You can exert the Map of Treasure Planet to pay one less ink for your next location, but the real power comes from the second ability.

Show The Way reduces the cost of moving your characters to locations by one, with some locations, like Motunui, being free to move. Since a later Jim card is all about locations, you can get some nice synergy with some other Treasure Planet cards.

5 Ba-Boom!

From: Into the Inklands

An exceptionally straightforward card, Ba-Boom! is a two-ink action card has just one line of text, but is perfect for anyone looking to pick off some smaller characters. Ba-Boom! deals two damage to either a character or a location, it’s up to you for which you want to target.

Two damage might not be the most amount of damage, and it likely won’t be taking out a ton of characters or locations, but using it to polish off damaged characters is a solid way to go. The good thing about Ba-Boom! is that you can still use it in your inkwell, especially late in the game where it might not have much to do.

4 RLS Legacy

Locations are a strong addition to Lorcana and have had some interesting design space since their introduction in the Into the Inklands set. Any character that is at the RLS Legacy gain evasive while they’re there, though it does cost three ink to bring anyone where.

The nice thing is that with the Heave Together Now ability, once you move one character to the RLS Legacy, all your other characters cost just one ink to move there. So while the higher initial cost can set you back a bit, every other character becomes cheaper to move.

3 Jim Hawkins, Space Traveler

From: Into The Inklands

Two–for-ones are fantastic and with Jim Hawkins, Space Traveler is a fantastic card that lets you get a free location with the This Is It! ability. Your free location has to have a cost of four or less, but that’s not a problem at all since it meshes very well with Jim’s second ability.

The Take The Helm ability lets you move a character to a location for free when you play a location. This free movement lets you save your ink for other actions and characters while still getting those benefits.

2 John Silver, Vengeful Pirate

From: Archazia's Island

Disney Lorcana: The 8 Best Treasure Planet Cards

A powerhouse of a Pirate, John Silver, Vengeful Pirate is a late-game card for sure, costing eight ink and you can’t shift with it either so you have to wait quite a while before dropping him but once you do, you get some real power on board.

Drawn To A Fight does help you play John Silver a little faster, reducing the cost down to just six if an opposing character was damaged this turn. The payoff is with I Ain’t Gone Soft!, an ability that lets you deal one damage to any character when you play any action that isn’t a song, which can polish off the board after only a few actions.

1 Morph, Space Goo

Set: Into The Inklands

Disney Lorcana: The 8 Best Treasure Planet Cards

Shifting has never been easier than with Morph, Space Goo, a two-ink little guy who has a special ability that has so much potential. The downside to Morph is that he’s not very strong, with just two strength and one willpower, so don’t expect Morph to stick around for very long when they’re on their own.

Morph’s Mimicry ability lets you play any character with a shift ability over Morph. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing another Treasure Planet character, or want to run Elsa or Hercules in a deck, Morph lets you shift into those higher-cost ones without a problem.
