During their journey, Ellie and Dina develop feelings for each other.
Dina’s life soon comes under danger when Abby arrives at the theater to attack her, Ellie, Jesse, and Tommy in revenge for Ellie killing Abby’s friends. When Abby and Ellie fight, Dina intervenes to protect Ellie, resulting in Abby almost killing her. However, Abby is dissuaded at the last minute by Lev, a boy she took under her wing.
Dina and Ellie begin a relationship. They soon move to a farm, and she gives birth to Jesse’s child, whom the two collectively raise. However, Tommy shows up and reminds Ellie of the latter’s revenge against Abby. Against Dina’s wishes, Ellie hunts down Abby and fights her, only to spare her when she realizes her revenge is not worth it.
