Can you take it with you? If Tau Ceti is calling to you during the Marathon Server Slam, you will be eager to dive in and start looting. There are all manner of resources, weapons, and equipment to exfiltrate with and add to your collection, but will any of it carry over to the full release on March 5? Unfortunately, Marathon Server Slam progress will not carry forward to the main game when it releases in early March. This is, perhaps, understandable. Marathon involves leveling your Factions and getting access to benefits from finishing quests and missions, as well as stacking endless supplies of loot and weapons. Carrying that over into release would instantly put players who took part in many matches during the Server Slam at an advantage over the rest of the playerbase. Now, you could argue that those same players will most likely be the folks who play the game more than anyone else upon release, but at least this sets a fair starting line for progress in what is, at the end of the day, a PvP game. Now, the Server Slam will grant some rewards for hitting certain milestones, and there are Twitch Drops that you can get, and both will be waiting for you when you start your adventures on March 5, as long as you earn them now.
