A talented Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero modder has done Kami’s work by fixing the DLC’s biggest mistake and adding a Daima Goku variant with actual transformations.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s second Daima DLC pack should have been a slam dunk to end the game’s first round of expansions. After all, it added much-hyped characters like Super Saiyan 4 Goku (the Daima version, that is), Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, and Majin Duu, alongside a new map like everyone had been begging for.

While it’s true that the Daima DLC nailed those aspects, players weren’t particularly impressed with one big thing — the lack of in-game transformations, a staple of the Budokai Tenkaichi games. Both Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta were individual characters who couldn’t change forms, putting a big dampener on the DLC as a whole. Well, that’s not the case anymore.

Daima Goku Has Been Added To Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero By A Fan, And He Can Even Transform

Might Want To Get Comfy For That Super Saiyan 4 Transformation…

As highlighted by Twitter user SabKun2026, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero modder EmiG84 recently released a new mod that fixes the glaring issue with the Daima DLC. EmiG84 previously shared a mod that added a Daima variant of Goku to the game who could transform, but their latest addition fittingly lets Goku go even further beyond.

The mod, which is currently available through EmiG84’s Patreon, adds custom animations to Daima Goku’s transformations that resemble the ones we saw in Daima’s finale. There’s the classic quick-paced Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 transformations, a much longer one for Super Saiyan 3 that’s fitting of its power level, and the grand finale with Super Saiyan 4.

Unlike Sparking Zero’s actual transformations, which are quite short to fit the game’s tempo, EmiG84 went all out with Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 transformation, including his massive power up, the iconic shirt throw, and even the lightning raining down behind Goku as he messes up Super’s timeline forever. It’s a long one, so buckle in.

As cool as it is seeing Goku’s full Super Saiyan 4 transformation in Sparking Zero, the lengthy scene is a reminder why the games don’t copy the anime. I can’t imagine sitting through this for every fight…

Considering how many people were annoyed about the lack of Daima Goku in the final Sparking Zero DLC (even though his moveset would basically just be Buu Saga Goku), it’s nice to see players take it into their own hands, fix that mistake, and even take it to the next level with custom animations. Now we just need Vegeta with transformations, and we’ll be all set.
