Warzone Season 4 Reloaded’s weapon buffs and nerfs have changed the meta once again, and a classic Assault Rifle has become the number-one gun you should be using.
The Season 4 Reloaded update brought Nicolas Cage and the AN-94 Assault Rifle, but it’s the AK-27 Assault Rifle you should be using. There’s always a place for a low-recoil AR with high damage in Warzone’s meta, and the BO7’s AK perfectly fits that role.
Although it didn’t actually receive any changes in the update itself, it’s the best primary weapon you can use thanks to its great damage and ease of use.
Warzone’s AK-27 is the fastest-killing AR at long range
Its main competition is the MXR-17 AR – mostly thanks to its close-range TTK. According to data from CODMunity, the MXR-17 outguns the AK-27 out to 43m meters, but only by 16 milliseconds.
However, the AK-27 wins at every range beyond that, making it a much more versatile choice.

Another major thing to consider is handling and recoil, and the AK is much easier to control. With the right attachments, you won’t have any trouble staying on target in fights across both Battle Royale and Resurgence.
YouTuber and CoD meta expert WhosImmortal highlighted the weapon in a July 5 video, saying “you’ve got the mid-long range completely covered with the AK, where it will shred.”
He also recommended pairing it with the Dravec 45 SMG to create the best loadout possible. The Dravec has great mobility and a high close-range TTK, so combined, you’ll be covered at all ranges.

The next major update will be Season 5 near the end of July, and it’s set to bring new weapons alongside buffs and nerfs, so we should see the meta change a few more times ahead of Modern Warfare 4.
