Konami
eFootball has officially crossed over to the world of anime, with a Naruto Shippuden collab that has Neymar chasing the Hokage title.
Hot on the heels of eFootball’s bizarre but brilliant Yu-Gi-Oh! crossover, which turned Neymar into the Dark Magician, Konami has turned its eye to the world of ninjas.
This time, the devs are bringing Nartuo-themed players, stadium takeovers, and limited-time events that will have sofa shinobi giddy with excitement.
At the center of it all is a roster of real-world footballers paired with Naruto characters, alongside themed matches and rewards tied to the event. From Neymar getting his own Naruto card to stadiums being transformed with Kurama and Susano’o visuals, it’s one of the game’s most unusual crossovers yet.
Naruto takes the football world by ninja storm
The Naruto x eFootball collab runs from April 30 to May 14, 2026, during which fans can unlock some pretty sweet shinobi swag. If you log in during the event, you’ll earn up to 220 eFootball Coins, alongside additional rewards through matches and objectives.
One of the biggest draws is the lineup of “Highlight” players redesigned around characters from Naruto Shippuden. Neymar Jr leads the pack as Naruto Uzumaki, while Takefusa Kubo appears as Sasuke Uchiha.

Elsewhere, Martin Odegaard is paired with Shikamaru Nara, Robert Lewandowski takes on Kakashi Hatake, and Luka Modric is styled after Itachi Uchiha.
The crossover also extends to a second wave inspired by the Akatsuki, with players like Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Alexis Saelemaekers receiving themed versions tied to Deidara, Tobi, and Pain.

Yu-Gi-Oh! x eFootball crossover turns Neymar into the Dark Magician
Alongside match rewards, players can unlock giant props like Kurama and Susano’o, along with Naruto-themed choreographies and goal projections that trigger during matches.
While the Naruto x eFootball collab is one of the most surprising anime-themed collabs we’ve seen this year, it’s still not the wildest. No, that goes to Hatsune Miku, who now has her own fishing gear crossover that comes with a glow-in-the-dark fishing rod and reel. Popular anime My Dress-Up Darling also hit a racetrack, with its Marin Kitagawa-themed GT3 race car.
