New Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 leaks have been revealed, highlighting all the new characters, rerun units, and banners for the upcoming patch. Version 3.4 is expected to be one of the largest patches for players, as it will continue the Amphoreus story arc after the groundbreaking narrative events that occurred in Version 3.3, while also introducing three new playable characters. Aside from Phainon, the Chrysos Heir who has yet to become playable, the update will also add the long-awaited Fate collab characters to Honkai: Star Rail, making Saber and Archer from the anime controllable in the turn-based RPG.
As confirmed by developer HoYoverse, the patch will also add the first batch of updates to older character kits, including Jingliu, Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf. HoYoverse has yet to detail how each of these characters will be changed, but leaks have already shown how their kits will be modified to adapt to the current meta and make them relevant once more. The most reliable Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 leaks stem from the ongoing beta tests, but now more information about the patch has been leaked, which is normally the toughest part to decipher before the livestream: character banners.
Three New Characters Are Confirmed For Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
Reruns Should Complement The Banners
As was mentioned, three new playable characters are confirmed for the upcoming patch. Phainon is a Chrysos Heir who has been accompanying the Trailblazer and Dan Heng since the beginning of their adventure in Amphoreus as an NPC, but HoYoverse has confirmed that Phainon will be a 5-star Physical character on the Path of the Destruction with Version 3.4. The developer hasn’t revealed more details about Phainon just yet, but leaks about Phainon’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 indicate he will be a hypercarry DPS with a lot of firepower under his belt to melt through enemies.
Alternatively, HoYoverse has also confirmed that Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works’ Saber and Archer will become playable with the arrival of Version 3.4. Saber will be a 5-star Wind character ing the Path of the Destruction, while Archer will be a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of the Hunt. HoYoverse has already revealed that Archer will be given for free, but has yet to confirm how each character will work. As was mentioned, however, the leaks have revealed the details about every new character in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 and how they work in combat.
Leaked Phase 1 Character Banners In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
The Rerun Lineup Makes Sense
According to information provided by Anon Leaks, which was shared by user CSTheng in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, the characters for Phase 1 and Phase 2 banners in Version 3.4 have all leaked. As seen in the post, it’s expected that Phainon will debut in Phase 1 banners, alongside reruns of Tribbie, Sparkle, and Sunday. This information matches the previous reports about Honkai: Star Rail 3.4’s Phase 1 banners, which reported the same lineup of characters for the period. As was mentioned previously, Phainon is expected to be a 5-star Physical hypercarry DPS in team comps.
According to leaked information about his kit, Phainon’s main source of damage will stem from his Ultimate, which will not require Energy, but stacks. Once he activates the ability, Phainon transforms, creates a territory in the arena, and all allies leave the field. At this point, Phainon will have a special moveset that will deal extra damage to enemies. The leaks say that Phainon can charge his Ultimate with his own abilities, but also with the help of supporting skills from allies, such as Sunday in Honkai: Star Rail.
If the leaks about Phainon’s kit are correct, it would make perfect sense for Sunday to rerun. Not only is he a universal support unit, but he should work particularly well with Phainon because of the offensive buffs he can provide to his target ally. Tribbie’s rerun also makes a lot of sense, considering how important of a sub-DPS she has become. With Version 3.3 rerunning The Herta and Aglaea, Tribbie’s rerun is expected. Lastly, the rumors about Sparkle’s rerun also make sense when considering Archer’s leaked kit in Honkai: Star Rail, which is said to consume extra Skill Points.
Leaked Phase 2 Character Banners In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
Firefly May Get A New Skin
According to the same leak, the Phase 2 banners have also been detailed and will be composed solely of reruns. The leak says the Phase 2 banners will feature reruns of Firefly, Jingliu, Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade. Previously, there had already been rumors about a Firefly rerun in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4’s Phase 2 banners, which makes a lot of sense when considering the rumors about her getting a new outfit in the patch. This could be a way of increasing sales around her.
Firefly’s outfit could be marketed toward players who already own her, while those who don’t may have a reason to pull for her.
The rumors about Jingliu, Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade reruns in Version 3.4’s Phase 2 also make sense. These compose the first batch of older characters to get reworks and buffs to their kits, so having them promptly available when they are patched up could drive players to acquire them and test their new abilities. It’s worth noting that Blade can be added to the 50/50 loss pool in premium banners in Honkai: Star Rail, meaning that you may have a chance of losing your 50/50 pull for Blade to Blade himself.
How The Fate Character Banners May Work In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
Saber & Archer May Be Available Throughout The Entire Patch
The leak doesn’t mention how the Fate characters will be inserted into the update, but previous leaks had already mentioned that both Saber and Archer will have banners of their own. It’s unclear if the Fate banners will be featured in Phase 1 or Phase 2, but given the scope of the collaboration event, which is the most important one to date, there is a slight possibility that the Fate banners will last the entire update rather than be limited to a specific Phase. This could give players more time to acquire the anime characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
For now, the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. The lineup of characters, particularly the rerun ones, is highly subject to change, so it is possible that HoYoverse will shuffle characters around before an official announcement. Even so, the leaked lineup for character banners makes a lot of sense. The Version 3.4 livestream shouldn’t take too long to occur, so more concrete information about the banners and the Fate collab in Honkai: Star Rail should be confirmed by HoYoverse soon.
