Master a whole new way to catch fish by crafting your own spear in Fisch!

Spear Fishing is a new way to pull in a catch in Fisch, allowing you to land tropical fishes from the depths of the Lost Jungle.
There are all sorts of new fish to collect, ranging from common but colorful catches to elusive exotics.
Spear fishing is also a good way to grind XP for lower-level players, since the monetary investment is quite low and you can find lots of Legendary-rarity fish quite regularly for a hefty chunk of experience.
Here’s how to get started with Spear Fishing in Fisch as well as craft your own spears after you’ve gathered the right materials.
How to Spear Fish in Fisch
First, to spear a fish, you need to both find a spear and the right kind of fish!
Make your way to the Lost Jungle and make your way to the craftsman’s hut at the back of the village. It’s the hut with the anvil.
Next to the anvil you should see the Flimsy Spear. This costs just 900$ and does the job remarkably well. There are also stronger pre-built spears such as the Mini-Spear for 9000$ and a better spear for 15000$ depending on how much money you want to drop.
After you’ve selected your first spear, make your way to one of the creeks, pools and mangroves of the Lost Jungle and take a look around. You should notice one key difference between here and basically everywhere else in Fisch… You can actually see the fish swimming around!
Open your equipment bag and select the “Spears” tab, then equip your spear. It will then appear on your quickbar in the same way as your regular fishing rod.
With your spear in your hand, approach one of the visible fish and tap/click. You will then start the spearing mini-game where you have to tap/click as fast as possible to land the catch.
In some ways, Spear Fishing is easier than regular fishing, because it’s a simpler mechanic and you can actually see the fish you’re trying to catch. You don’t always get exactly the same fish as you approach, but most of the time you can almost guarantee which fish you get by starting the mini-game right next to them in the water.
Because of this, you can target the Legendary tier Piraiba, which is a long, grey fish, and get lots of XP quickly if you’re a low level. Or at night, you can target Mythical tier Stingrays for even more XP.
How to craft spears in Fisch
To craft your own, more effective spears, including the Barbed Spear and Poison-tipped Spear, you need to use the anvil in the Lost Jungle craftsman’s hut.
First, you need to collect driftwood with either the Shrouded or Poisoned mutations, both of which appear in the Lost Jungle and a barbed spearhead.
Driftwood is usually a regionless trash item which appears throughout the world, but to get the required mutations you’re much better off fishing in the Jungle.
To get a barbed spearhead, you need to drop down into the Lost Temple by climbing down the rope in the middle of the Jungle and complete the puzzle rooms. You can then return to the anvil and combine it with some driftwood to make a stronger spear.
To get the poison-tipped version, you need to continue completing the puzzles inside the Lost Temple, then take the poison head to the anvil with some more driftwood.
