A Florida woman was minding her business while doing shopping at a Trader Joe’s. She had her service dog named Kiy with her, who goes with her everywhere. All of a sudden, a Karen started berating her. She proceeded to follow her out of the store with her own barking dog in tow!
TikToker @kiy.thesaluki has a Saluki service dog who goes everywhere with her. While Kiy and his owner were in Trader Joe’s, they were confronted by a Karen and her barking dog. The woman noticed them and started running full-force at them with her dog in a stroller. She exits the store quickly, chasing after the two. You can hear the TikToker saying, “Good heavens. What is your problem?” as the woman chases her. It isn’t clear what set her off in the first place.

As the woman chases her, Kiy and his owner stand on the sidewalk and listen to what she has to say. This woman surprises her by shouting, “Mister Donald Trump, my President and yours!” She continues repeating this political statement at the top of her lungs as Kiy and his owner walk away. The owner exclaims, “I can’t even cross the street because she’s following me!” At this point, this TikToker is horrified and bewildered, unsure of what set off the woman in the first place.
@Kiy.thesaluki caught the entire thing on her Meta glasses. She asks her TikTok audience, “Does anyone know this woman??” She goes on to say that Kiy is her psychiatric service animal and is allowed to be with her in stores. As she says, “I pray for her sanity and peace” in light of the situation.
The video immediately sparked reactions from concerned viewers, many of whom were in disbelief over the reaction. One person simply stated: “It felt like a movie” because of how odd the situation was. Another speculated, “I don’t think it had anything to do with you. I think she was being escorted out and you were just in front of her.”
Other commenters pointed out the use of Meta glasses in public spaces. One commenter stated, “It’s so weird to be recording people all day on Meta glasses.” Another asked, “My question is why are there dogs in Trader Joe’s?” Commenters continue to react and share their opinions on the post as it gains popularity.
