The new season of Fortnite is finally out! As previously leaked, the season has a superhero theme. Due to this, it’s no surprise that Epic Games released Superman, a popular DC hero. However, this is the hero’s second Battle Pass skin, which has caused certain problems. One of these problems is the accidental removal of one older item.
The next time you launch Fortnite, open your Locker and check if everything is there. Epic accidentally removed one item and is working on bringing it back. However, this process may take a couple of days.
Epic accidentally removed an older cosmetic item from Fortnite
The first time Epic added Superman to Fortnite was in Chapter 2 – Season 7. The DC superhero was a bonus skin of the Battle Pass, and he had four different styles. Furthermore, the popular character had several matching cosmetics, including his iconic cape. To unlock this cape, players needed to complete special quests.
The new variant of Superman also has a cape, though it looks slightly different. This is what has caused some issues, as Epic Games accidentally granted the original cape to the players who purchased the Battle Bundle in the new season. Shortly after, the game developer solved this issue and granted the correct back bling. However, this fix removed the original cape from players who unlocked it back in Chapter 2.
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that this issue has affected every owner of the original cape. In the meantime, Epic Games is investigating the problem and should re-add the item soon.
For now, only players who purchase the Battle Bundle (Battle Pass + 25 levels) can unlock Superman right away. Battle Pass owners will have to wait until July 11 to unlock him through the limited-time questline.
