Fortnite has added a new Sprite variant to Chapter 7 Season 3 called the Cube Sprite with the July 23 hotfix. The Sprite is inspired by Kevin the Cube and can now be found across the island. So if you’re hunting them on the Battle Royale island, here’s all you need to know about Fortnite Cube Sprites.

Where to Find Cube Sprites in Fortnite

You can find Cube Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 through loot containers like rare Chests and Sprite Chests. Much like other special Sprite variants, the Cube Sprites are much harder to come by compared to their base counterparts.

This means players should focus on searching Sprite Chests around the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 map to have a better chance at finding Cube Sprites.

To make sure that you are targeting Sprite Chests in the most efficient way possible, you should have a look at the best loot path to farm Sprites in Fortnite. Additionally, players can use the newly added Sprite Locator item to improve their search for Cube Sprites even more. However, your search will still rely heavily on RNG and luck.

At the time of writing, there are only 8 Fortnite Cube Sprite variants available. This is much like the Holofoil Sprites, which also don’t have a special variant for every Sprite in the game.

What Do Cube Sprites Do in Fortnite?

In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, the Cube Sprites apply an Overdrive effect on players, but only if they are stuck inside the storm. This means the Sprite buff does not work once you are outside the storm and have reached the safe zone.

But when it works, it applies a similar effect to the Striker Sprite, where you can sprint faster for a specific time period and leap higher around the Fortnite island. So we recommend using the Fortnite Cube Sprites only if you’re playing to survive the late game storm circles for quick escapes.

How Rare Are Cube Sprites in Fortnite?

As of yet, we don’t know how rare Fortnite Cube Sprites and their variants are since they were added with the July 23 hotfix. However, as per our speculation and based on the rarity of other Sprite variants like Galaxy Sprites, we assume the Cube Sprites are going to be rarer than any Sprite type in the game right now.

But if you still want to know about their spawn rate, make sure to check back on this guide once we’ve updated it.
