Amazon has revealed the list of free games that will be claimable as part of its Prime Day 2024 celebrations, which includes Chivalry 2 and a non-standard edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Amazon's customers with a Prime membership will have 48 hours to grab the newly announced freebies after the upcoming shopping event kicks off.
The next iteration of the annual members-only sale is officially scheduled to start on Tuesday, July 16. In the meantime, some early Prime Day 2024 deals have already gone live a week in advance.
As for the bulk of the event, this year's benefits will include three free games: Chivalry 2, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. As is frequently the case with Amazon freebies of this sort, all three of the newly announced games will be distributed in the form of Epic Games Store codes that players will be able to redeem. The trio will be claimable starting 12am PT / 3am ET on July 16.

All free Prime Day 2024 games will be distributed via the Epic Games Store. Players can claim them during a 48-hour window starting at 3am ET on July 16.
The games themselves span a varied mixture of genres, with Chivalry 2 offering multiplayer hack-and-slash action in a medieval setting, whereas Rise of the Tomb Raider is a semi-open-world action adventure that ended up being one of the highest-rated titles of 2015. Live-service shooter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has no such acclaim to its name, having debuted in February 2024 to lukewarm reviews. Some Prime Gaming members may already own the 20 Year Celebration edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider, as Amazon already gave away this widely praised Lara Croft adventure back in November 2021.
This newly revealed trio of freebies expands the list of free games that Prime Gaming members can grab in July 2024, which includes the likes of Deceive Inc, Call of Juarez, Hitman Absolution, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 — The Sith Lords, all of which are already available for claiming. July 18 will also see the service add Youtubers Life 2, Maneater, and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, followed by Cat Quest 2, Midnight Fight Express, and Masterplan Tycoon seven days later.
As has been the case since 2019, this year's Prime Day will technically run for two days, being set to conclude on Wednesday, July 17. During this period, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to take advantage of a wide variety of discounts on video games, consumer electronics, toys, groceries, and fashion, among other types of goods.
