The method for taming a Fasolasuchus in ARK: Survival Ascended is unlike any other. Follow these steps to tame one of your own.
The Fasolasuchus in ARK: Survival Ascended is a giant reptile that can only be found on the Scorched Earth map. It is a creature that can be ridden around the world to make your adventures easier, and it can also act as the main damage dealer of your tamed dinosaurs since it can easily take out enemies.
If you're wondering where exactly you can find the reptilian Fasolasuchus and how you can go about taming it, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know. Unlike most other dinosaurs in ARK: Survival Ascended, the taming method for Fasolasuchus is uncommon and rare and will require particular materials.
Where To Find Fasolasuchus In ARK: Survival Ascended
The Fasolasuchus is actually pretty common in ARK: Survival Ascended. You will only find this dinosaur on the Scorched Earth map, however, so you will need to make sure you have access to this location before beginning the search.
Within the Scorched Earth map, you'll want to visit the dunes areas to find a Fasolasuchus. Similar to Oasisaurs, this is where they will predominantly spawn. The dunes area will essentially be the edges of the map, wherever it is completely made up of sand.

Once you've found yourself a Fasolasuchus to tame, there are a few items you will need to bring along and some steps to follow that are different from the usual taming method, similar to Rhyniognathas. Here's everything you need to know to easily tame a Fasolasuchus for yourself.
- To start, you will want to make sure you bring along some kind of explosive. The best one to use here is C4. We also recommend getting some Ghillie armor to keep yourself from burning up in the Scorched Earth map.
- Now, you'll want to wait until the Fasolasuchus buries in the ground, making itself into a mound. Slowly approach this mound, and throw a C4 on top of it.
- You'll want to back away a bit to prevent getting hit and then detonate the C4. Then, quickly approach the Fasolasuchus and jump on its back.
- While riding it, you'll notice that there is a Torpidity meter. You're going to want to max this out to knock the Fasolasuchus out, which you can do by slamming it into any nearby rocks, bones, or sand. The only thing that will not make any difference is trees.
- Once you've maxed out the Torpidity meter, the Fasolasuchus will pass out. Approach the beast, and access its inventory. Here, you'll want to feed it with either Superior Kibble or Raw Mutton.
- Once the Fasolasuchus is fully tamed, you can place a Fasolasuchus Saddle on it. You'll then officially have your own Fasolasuchus, which you can ride around and use to attack other powerful enemy dinosaurs.
