Assassin’s Creed Mirage players can gain access to a new outfit for protagonist Basim, based off the franchise’s 2020 entry, Valhalla.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Adds Valhalla Outfit

Highlights

  • Basim can now wear Eivor's Raven Clan outfit in Assassin's Creed Mirage, connecting the two games in an exciting way.
  • Mirage offers a smaller, more stealth-focused gameplay compared to the massive open combat focus of Valhalla, pleasing fans of the franchise's roots.
  • Eivor's long cloak is missing from Basim's version of the outfit in Mirage, reflecting the differences in stealth mechanics between the two games.

Eivor's Raven Clan outfit from Assassin's Creed Valhalla has become available for Assassin's Creed Mirage players to redeem and equip with Basim. Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which was released back in 2020, was Ubisoft's latest large-scaled RPG-style Assassin's Creed game. Set during the Viking age of Anglo-Saxon England, Valhalla introduced a new assassin, named Eivor, who was part of the Raven Clan.

With some fans of the franchise feeling alienated by Valhalla's massive size and large focus on open combat, the more recent Assassin's Creed Mirage was an attempt to return the franchise to its roots with a smaller, more stealth-rich gameplay experience. Set in 9th century Baghdad before the events of Valhalla, Mirage tells the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a character first introduced in Valhalla along Eivor's journey. With a much smaller map, more options for stealth, and an open combat system that feels dangerous and urges players to avoid confrontations, Mirage was largely considered a success for fans of the franchise's earlier games.

Ubisoft has revealed that Eivor's robes from Assassin's Creed Valhalla are coming to Mirage as a wearable costume for Basim. In a short Twitter clip, Ubisoft showed off Basim wearing Eivor's robes while parkouring around the city of Baghdad. Basim getting to wear Eivor's outfit is fitting, considering he made his first ever appearance in Eivor's game. Mirage players will need to use their UbiConnect accounts to redeem the free Eivor costume.

Eivor Costume In Assassin's Creed Mirage

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Eivor's Raven Clan Armor Set changes its appearance as players upgrade it. Basim's singular version of the outfit seems to resemble different tiers of the robes. It's also worth mentioning that Eivor's long cloak, which was used for stealth, is missing from the outfit. The omission does make sense, though, since the stealth mechanics of Valhalla and Mirage differ wildly, and Basim never wears a full cloak in Mirage. Eivor isn't the first assassin to have his robes worn by Basim, as Altair and Ezio's outfits are wearable costumes in Mirage as well. Perhaps even more robes of iconic assassins will join Basim's wardrobe next, like Assassin's Creed 3's Connor or Black Flag's Edward Kenway.

Next up for the franchise is Assassin's Creed Red, which is heavily rumored to be ready to release sometime later this year. As Assassin's Creed's next large-scale RPG-style entry set in ancient Japan, fans of the franchise are super eager to learn more. With a Ubisoft Forward locked in for June 10, it'll likely be the home of Assassin's Creed Red's proper reveal, and possibly even its release date.
