Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will finally reveal its Zombies game mode on Thursday, August 8 at 8am PT. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a great deal of hype behind it for a variety of reasons. For one, its single-player campaign looks like an action-packed return to form after the missteps that were made by 2023's Modern Warfare 3, and for two, it will see the long-awaited return of round-based Zombies.
Recent Call of Duty games have moved away from round-based Zombies, much to the disappointment of longtime fans. Luckily, it was announced by Treyarch that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is bringing round-based Zombies back. Fans have gotten some brief glimpses at Black Ops 6 Zombies and what else they can expect from the game mode, but now they know exactly when they will learn more about the highly-anticipated co-op experience.
On Thursday, August 8 at 8am PT, Treyarch will fully unveil its plans for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies. This will include a preview of the round-based Zombies gameplay, "pre-match preparation options," and a look at some of the different enemy types that players can expect to encounter. There have been a great variety of monsters featured in Call of Duty Zombies over the years, so fans can expect some unique undead creatures to join the usual zombie hordes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Reveal Date and Time
- Thursday, August 8 at 8am PT
What we do know now is that Black Ops 6 Zombies takes place "over half a decade" after the events of Black Ops Cold War, continuing the Dark Aether storyline. Characters Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie "Mac" Carver, Dr. Elizabeth Grey, Stoney "Raptor One" Maddox, and Oskar Strauss have all been imprisoned on Terminus Island for five years. The new cinematic trailer shows them being rescued by Dr. William Peck and a smuggler named Maya Aguinaldo. The island is suddenly overrun by a zombie outbreak. The other Black Ops 6 Zombies map is set in the West Virginian town of Liberty Falls. It's unclear if that Zombies map will feature a different cast of characters, but more information should come on August 8.
Once the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies reveal takes place, the only thing left will be a proper reveal of the game's multiplayer mode. Black Ops 6 multiplayer leaks have revealed some of the maps and weapons players can look forward to come launch on October 25, but it's otherwise been kept under wraps. With the Black Ops 6 beta starting on August 30, one has to imagine that a full reveal will take place at some point between the Zombies event on August 8 and the beta start date.
