Popular streamer Adin Ross is once again appealing Twitch to revoke his permanent ban from the platform, just over a year after his initial suspension. Twitch's policy on bans has not avoided some of its most popular creators, with many big-name streamers receiving bans for breaking the Amazon-owned streaming site's terms of service. The site's banning system has been an open spot of controversy for Twitch, with CEO Dan Clancy even recently admitting that Twitch needs a better feedback system for its bans. Now, Adin Ross is once again calling for his unbanning.

Adin Ross was once one of Twitch's biggest creators, originally gaining popularity for streaming popular games like the NBA 2K franchise and Grand Theft Auto. However, his time on Twitch would be highly controversial, receiving multiple temporary bans and finally being permanently banned for an incident involving his Kick chat being shown on stream. Ross would move permanently to Kick following the ban, quickly becoming the startup streaming platform's most popular talent. Now, however, Adin Ross is showing he still wants to return to Twitch.

Adin Ross Asking to Be Unbanned from Twitch

As reported by Dexerto, during a recent stream on Kick, Adin Ross once again asked Twitch to lift his permanent ban from the platform. Ross expressed his remorse and apologized for the controversial actions that initially led to his banning from the site over a year ago. Ross also expressed his desire to "collab with his favorite people" again, with Twitch featuring a strict policy on banned streamers appearing on other creators' livestreams. Adin Ross had previously expressed confidence that he will be unbanned from Twitch at some point during 2024.

While Adin Ross' future on Twitch still remains unclear, the streaming platform has recently seen a shift in its attitude towards its permanently banned creators. Alongside the criticisms of Twitch's ban feedback system, Twitch recently made a major change to its policy on watching banned Twitch streamers' content. Twitch creators will now be able to react to VODs or livestreams from banned creators, though directly hosting or featuring banned streamers is still forbidden. CEO Dan Clancy also previously shared that the platform may be looking at giving a "second chance" to some of its permanently banned creators.

The changes in Twitch's attitude towards its banned streamers come as the platform has seen significant financial struggles. Twitch reported late last year that the popular streaming platform was not profitable, despite being one of the biggest livestreaming websites on the internet. Twitch also recently shuttered its Nintendo Switch app and shut down its services in South Korea, with the South Korean government even fining Twitch for violating Korean telecom laws. Twitch's eased demeanor towards its banned streamers will likely look to bolster the struggling streaming platform.
