While Rook recruits Taash to fight blighted dragons in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the quest «Fire and Ice» leaves a bad taste in their mouth. That bad taste leads directly to Taash’s companion quest, «Slaying the Fangscorcher.»

To unlock this quest, you must complete «Fire and Ice,» along with all of Taash’s earlier companion quests. If «Fangscorcher» isn’t ready to start when you return to the Lighthouse at this point, now is a good time to complete Taash’s earlier quests. If that’s not the problem, exit and reenter the Lighthouse until you see an exclamation point in Taash’s room.
