EA Sports FC 25 is reportedly set to hit store shelves on September 27, becoming the second game to bear the EA Sports FC label. Apparently, the FC 24 successor will be available in at least two different editions at launch.
Last year, publisher EA Sports rebranded its football simulation series from FIFA to EA Sports FC and released FC 24, following the end of its licensing arrangement with FIFA, the international body governing soccer. Although the franchise lost its original name in FC 24, it added to its existing licenses with new women's leagues, namely Frauen-Bundesliga and Liga F. As is the case with the annual franchise, another EA Sports FC game is expected to launch later this year, bringing updated squads, the latest kits, and possibly more.
According to a Dealabs report, EA Sports FC 25 is scheduled to come out on September 27 across platforms, including last-gen consoles. Replying to the leak on Twitter, insider PlayStation Game Size revealed that a PS4 version of FC 25 is also on the cards. Based on this, Dealabs stated that the soccer game could also have an Xbox One port in development. It further revealed that the football sim will be up for grabs in two editions: Standard and Ultimate. The prices for the PC version of these editions have also been leaked, with the Standard Edition coming in at USD 69.99 and the Ultimate Edition priced at USD 99.99.
EA Sports FC 25 Could be Announced Soon
Recently, PlayStation Game Size unveiled the logo of FC 25 on their backup Twitter account. Highlighting their pattern of sharing logos of forthcoming titles to their announcement, Dealabs has predicted that EA's FC 25 announcement may also arrive "within 10 days." Moreover, talking about the Ultimate Edition, it mentioned that the buyers of this particular edition will get early access to the game on September 20, being able to kick off their FC 25 journey a week in advance. Besides them, EA Play subscribers will reportedly also get to play a 10-hour trial during the early access period.
It's no secret that FC 24 couldn't replicate the success of FIFA 23, lagging behind in terms of sales compared to the latter game. However, keeping in mind that it was EA's first game under a new banner, developers have seemingly moved on and are looking to bounce back with the next entry in the EA Sports FC lineup. With new information being reportedly around the corner, fans may want to sit tight through the next few weeks for an official announcement.
