Everafter Falls: Best Crops to Farm First

If there's a popular type of game among cozy game enthusiasts, it's the various farming life-sim RPG titles with relaxing gameplay aspects. These titles are popular with a wide variety of players for the customization options and farming, crafting, and development mechanics included in gameplay.

Two of the most popular cozy games of all time are Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. For fans of these titles who are seeking something new, the indie title Everafter Falls is a unique experience that carries many familiar aspects and features from these titles. Players will be able to harvest materials, befriend a city of animal residents, and develop their property through farming, gardening, crafting, and more. However, while these mechanics are all very important to gameplay, knowing where to get started can be tricky. For this reason, the best crops to farm first have been identified in the guide below, which will allow players to set themselves up at the beginning of their playthrough.

In Everafter Falls, players will need to take steps to set up their farm as soon as possible, as this will very likely be the primary way they make money and set themselves up with some funds to use elsewhere. However, it can be tricky deciding which crops to farm first, as you have very limited coins to purchase goods with on day one.

First of all, you will need to know how you can get Seeds. To get seeds, you will need to head into town by walking East from your home, and then visit Freya's shop. Inside, speak to Freya, who is one of your adorable, local animal residents, and she will give you a couple of packets of Chilli Seeds to get yourself started — free of cost. After this, you should have fifty coins left to spend on other seeds, which you can then turn into produce and flip for easy coins.

As you have such limited funds to work with, it is important to pick Seeds that you can buy for a somewhat cheap price, yet make quite a window of profit from the sold foods they produce. The first type of Seed that you should look to purchase is Carrot Seeds, which cost 10 Gold per pack and can be sold for 35 Gold. The second produce that you should look to purchase is Strawberry Seeds, as they will cost you 25 Gold a pack, but can be turned for a profit of 110 Gold when sold as produce.

With the purchase of 1 Strawberry Seeds pack and 2 Carrot Seeds pack, you will have used almost all of your starting Gold. However, paired with the Chilli Seeds donated by Freya, this should be more than enough to get your farm started. Your Chilli Seeds will grow in 9 days and can be harvested every 4 days, Carrot Seeds will grow in 3 days and can be harvested once, and your Strawberry Seeds will grow in 7 days and can be harvested once. With the Gold earned from this produce, you will have enough to purchase additional Seed packets to keep your farm going and start adding different Seeds into the mix.
