Fallout game player counts are up across the board, with fans playing the classics to the newer, Bethesda-developed titles. Since Fallout 4 is the latest main series entry and the most easily accessible for most players, it makes sense that many are choosing to play it over the others. Unfortunately for those playing Fallout 4 on Xbox, the game's achievements appear to be bugged, as no one has been able to unlock any since March 30.

According to the report, Fallout 4 achievements on other platforms are being unlocked without problems, it's just Xbox that's running into the issue, with the problems stemming back to at least March 30. The good news is Bethesda is aware of the issue with Fallout 4 achievements not unlocking on Xbox, so a fix should be coming sooner rather than later. Those interested in unlocking achievements in Fallout 4 may want to hold off on playing the game for now and get their fix through one of the other Fallout games instead.
Fallout 4 Achievements Are Not Unlocking
There is another good reason to wait a bit before returning to Fallout 4, anyway. Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 4 is getting a big update on April 25 that will add some new content, address lingering bugs, and give the game a proper release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, with the benefits associated with such a jump. Hopefully, the issues with Xbox achievements are sorted out by then, so returning players and newcomers alike can enjoy the Fallout 4 experience to its fullest while unlocking plenty of achievements along the way.
There is some hope that other Fallout games may be getting upgrades as well, though nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing. It's been leaked that a Fallout 3 remaster is potentially in the works, but fans should keep their expectations in check. It's entirely possible that plans for the Fallout 3 remaster have been scrapped. In the meantime, the original version of the game is backward compatible on Xbox, and so fans can still revisit it with little headache.
