Rare items in video games are nothing new. Whether they are obtained through challenges, in-game purchases, or as potential rewards for completing missions, many online games have their own sets of rare items that players can obtain.

Fallout 76 is no different. While there are lots of rare outfits and masks in the game, there are also some rare weapons that players are willing to part ways with top-tier items to get. While weapons with great legendary effects tend to have the most value, there are a handful of specific bats that are considered rare. Which Bats Are Rare?

Players can craft and modify bats. Through the modification menus, players can change the color of a bat to almost anything they like. However, there are three colors that can't be crafted: indigo, pink, and yellow.

The only way to get hold of these bats is to either find them in certain locations or buy them from players or vendors. The rare bats can be found at the following levels:

Level 1
Level 5
Level 15
Level 25
Level 35
Level 45

For the most part, level 45 bats are the ones that players often look for, but some collectors are willing to pay a decent amount for bats at all levels.

While prices fluctuate, players can expect to get max caps for one of these rare bats. That's 40k for those who don't know. This figure will vary depending on how much players are willing to pay for the bats. But the price has hovered at around 40k caps for a long time.

Since 40k caps is the maximum limit, players instead opt to use things like Leader Bobbleheads as a form of currency, since there's no limit to how many a player can hold.

How To Get Rare Bats

There are multiple locations where a rare bat can spawn. There are also certain vendors that have a small chance of having a rare bat in their inventory. As for locations, some of the best locations to check can be seen below:

Fraternity Row: In the basement, on a shelf opposite the stairs
Morgantown High School: In a display case to the left of the main door
Morgantown High School: In the locker room to the right of the sports hall, leaning up against some lockers
Morgantown High School: outside one of the toilet cubicles in the same locker room as the previous bat spawn location

There are several other locations where a rare bat can spawn. However, the ones listed above are among the easiest areas to reach.

It's also possible to find a rare baseball bat when searching US Government Supply Drops. However, this can be quite time-consuming as you'll need to collect and use lots of US Government Supply Requisition Holotapes.
