An artist has drawn the characters of Stardew Valley in the world of Fallout, providing a glimpse of how Pelican Town's citizens would fare in the post-apocalyptic Wasteland. Both franchises are incredibly popular among gamers.

Stardew Valley players will encounter a wide variety of NPCs while enjoying developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone's critically acclaimed farm life simulator. Many of these characters will be villagers of Pelican Town, which is where players move at the start of the game. One artist has reimagined several of the town's members, including its mayor, as part of the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout.

Posting on the Stardew Valley subreddit, user DaintyBrute shared their Stardew Valley x Fallout drawings. The works depict Pelican Town's Mayor Lewis and Haley, the latter of whom is one of Stardew Valley's many bachelorettes, as Vault Dwellers. In Fallout, these are the inhabitants of the various bunkers that were designed by the defense corporation Vault-Tec to house a select part of the US population after a nuclear war.

DaintyBrute also drew Maru, Penny, synth Harvey, ghoul Sebastian, and raider versions of Sam and Abigail. Raiders are the bandit-like denizens of the Wasteland who often murder and plunder to survive, while ghouls are former humans who mutated into grotesque creatures due to high radiation exposure. Synths are essentially artificial humanoids that were created by The Institute, a mysterious organization that considers itself to be a bastion of knowledge and prosperity. While there are some significant differences between synths and humans in Fallout, the third generation of The Institute's creations are almost entirely biological, which has allowed some of them to blend in seamlessly with society.

Popularity of Stardew Valley and Fallout Franchises

Community members praised the crossover illustrations of DaintyBrute, who explained that Stardew Valley and Fallout were two of their favorite franchises. Stardew Valley is one of the most highly rated games on Steam, where the title currently has a 98% approval score based on the reviews of more than half a million players. The Fallout series, created by Interplay Entertainment, is incredibly popular among gamers too, with 2015's Fallout 4 being one of the most played RPGs on Valve's distribution platform, according to data provided by SteamDB.

Fallout recently attracted new fans following the release of Amazon Prime Video's television adaptation in April. While ConcernedApe's RPG has yet to be adapted into a TV show, fans of the game can experience it in a new light through the Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons live concert tour for North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. A number of American and Canadian cities have already hosted the tour, which features live orchestral renditions of tracks from the Stardew Valley soundtrack that were chosen by Barone.
