When you first start your farming journey in Fields of Mistria, you will only have a measly ten slots for carrying items. This is not the best scenario for a farming sim RPG, as you will end up wanting to collect all sorts of items.
While you can use the chest outside your home to sell items overnight or use the box in your home to store items for safekeeping, this isn't enough. Luckily, your character in Fields of Mistria can indeed increase their inventory space to carry more items —here's how.
How to Carry More Stuff in Fields of Mistria
Get the Bag Upgrade
Close
As of the time of writing, we increased our carry limit from ten items to 20 by purchasing the Bag Upgrade item from the General Store in the main part of town, next to the Request board and the right of the town Inn.
Walk into Holt's shop and interact with the board on the desk. When the menu opens, tab over to the section with an icon of a silver axe.
The Bag Upgrade item will be there for the taking, but it will cost you 500 Tesserae. If you don't have enough money for the bag just yet, do not fret. You will gain Tesserae as you sell items and complete Requests from the townsfolk. We managed to buy the upgrade on Day 8 —there's no rush at all.
Before the new item slots open, you need to physically use the Bag Upgrade from the hotbar. A second tab of items will appear, labeled as 'B.' Now, you can carry more fish, bugs, rocks, tools, and whatever else you need to make your farm thrive.
Once we purchased the Bag Upgrade from the shop, it disappeared from the shop menu. We think you can further upgrade your bag —once we find out more information, we'll be sure to update this guide to help you out.
