During its annual 14-hour broadcast, Final Fantasy 14 revealed some amazing game statistics collected over the last decade. From the combined length of cutscenes to the total weight of Materia Final Fantasy 14 players have melded, these stats show just how popular the critically-acclaimed MMORPG has become.
The 14-hour broadcast is a near-annual tradition that Final Fantasy 14 has done for most of its lifespan. This year’s livestream also included the 80th Live Letter from the Producer, which was primarily focused on the graphics update and benchmark for Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail.
However, during the stream, Final Fantasy 14 director and producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida and global community producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi shared some staggering statistics from the first 10 years of the game’s lifespan. Some of the stats, like its 30 million registered player count or most popular mounts and minions, were straightforward, but others, such as the total distance of corks launched from Realm Reborn Red wine bottles in the game, were quite comical. Boasting 159 hours of cutscenes, 4917 minutes of music, and 88 Aetherytes so far, the sheer size of Final Fantasy 14 can be easily seen through these numbers.

Of course, these stats don’t include anything from the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. Once Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion releases on July 2, these numbers will only continue to climb. Fans already got a kick out of these stats, so they will have to look forward to seeing how they continue to grow in the future.
Final Fantasy 14 shared some other interesting information during the 14-hour broadcast as well. In addition to the long-awaited graphical update, Dawntrail is overhauling blacklisting in Final Fantasy 14, with the ability to mute players, filter certain terms from chat, and even expel others from their private or free company estates. Fans can look forward to the ability to curate their experience by completely blocking bad actors from their game after the expansion goes live.
The next two months are going to be packed for Final Fantasy 14 players. According to the calendar Final Fantasy 14 shared during the broadcast, fans can look forward to the return of the Yo-Kai Watch and Dragon Quest 10 collaboration events, another Moogle Treasure Trove and Make it Rain Campaign, and two more Live Letters from the Producer during this time. With nonstop activities for players to engage in leading up to early access on June 28, Final Fantasy 14 fans will have no shortage of things to do until Dawntrail drops.
