HoYoverse has revealed the release date for Genshin Impact Version 4.8, which will drop later this month and feature a new map, a new character, and much more. Genshin Impact's last update, Version 4.7, was released on June 5 and included two 5-star characters in Clorinde and Sigewinne, as well as the 4-star playable character Sethos. The update also introduced new weapons, new quests, event wishes, and Genius Invokation TCG Cards.
In the coming months, Genshin Impact will inch r to Version 5.0, which is rumored to be introducing three new characters: a 5-Star Dendro Claymore, a female 5-Star Hydro Catalyst, and a female 4-Star Geo Polearm. Version 5.0 is also set to open up the new Natlan region and potentially even raise the level cap to 100. Further leaks for Version 5.0 surround Madame Ping, the next Genshin Impact character set for a Lantern Rite debut.
Genshin Impact Version 4.8 will arrive on July 17 and introduce the new limited-time Simulanka map, complete with new stories, seasonal events, and plentiful rewards, as well as new looks for Nilou and Kirara. Emilie, a new 5-star character, also joins the stacked Genshin Impact roster as a Dendro polearm wielder. A renowned perfume designer residing in Fontaine, Emilie has a unique ability called the Lumidouce Case, which deals additional damage over time to enemies inflicted with the Burning status. In addition, Version 4.8 is adding new Thespian Tricks (character poses) to Genshin Impact, which initially made their debut in Version 4.7 through the Imaginarium Theater.
