Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead has just released patch 01.000.300 addressing various aspects, including weapons, stratagems, enemies, and missions. This update aims to enhance the gameplay and address community feedback. The long patch notes cover several weapon buffs, damage balancing, increased level cap and more. The update also added new planetary hazards in Helldivers 2.
In Helldivers 2, players take on the role of elite soldiers fighting against various alien species to protect humanity's interests across the galaxy. The game is renowned for its challenging, cooperative gameplay. Since its release in February, Helldivers 2 has captured the attention of gamers worldwide, topping charts and receiving praise for its engaging mechanics and intense action. With its fast-paced combat and strategic decision-making, the game has quickly become a favorite among fans. However, many players have complained about several issues and glitches in Helldivers 2 that prompted Arrowhead to release an update.
Helldivers 2 Patch 01.000.300 Details
In this latest patch 01.000.300, several key changes have been implemented. Burning damage, which was causing chaos in the game after a recent buff, has been reduced by 15% in response to fans complaining about Helldivers 2's recent fire damage buff. This tweak aims to restore balance and make encounters with fire-based enemies more manageable, especially on planets like Hellmire. Additionally, armors with a rating above 100 will now also reduce damage on headshots. Victory poses will only play for players who are able to fully extract from missions, eliminating instances of "stolen valor" within the game.
Arrowhead also brought massive changes to the mechanics of Helldivers 2's wide range of weapons. The RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher, which was causing havoc in battles, will no longer detonate near stratagems and other players. This change, along with a reduced proximity radius, aims to provide a more controlled and tactical experience for players. Enemy behavior has been modified as well, making gunship spawners have a lower cap on active gunships. Additionally, patrol spawning has been adjusted to scale with the number of players in a mission, ensuring a balanced experience across different group sizes.
Gameplay improvements include the ability to disable automatic climbing and vaulting while sprinting. Furthermore, characters now salute when readying up, adding a touch of immersion to the cooperative experience. It's evident that Arrowhead is committed to maintaining Helldivers 2's status as a top-tier co-op shooter. This comprehensive update addresses community feedback and aims to provide a more balanced and enjoyable experience for players. With Helldivers 2's continued success and dedicated player base, it's likely that fans will see more updates and improvements in the future.
